Ocean Drive Madrid

Location is excellent, starbucks, Mc Ds and Tapas literally across the road. The metro is also right outside the hotel. The whole place smells really nice and the rooftop bar has amazing views. Interesting array of in room snacks and mini bar but all at cost. Complimentary water provided and toiletry bag.

Quite expensive, depending on the season. October the place is heaving but the sky bar closed at 8:30pm so that's unfortunate because, although for guests only, i would have liked to utilise that.

It was close to all the sites. very clean, nice staff. They left a note saying happy birthday to my husband and a bottle of wine which was very kind.

i was very surprised the hotel did not leave complimentary water each day. Other hotels in Madrid leave a small treat when the room has been serviced which is a lovely touch, but this hotel does not do this. I had to ask a couple of times for clean towels and toilet roll.

A relatively new hotel (only open for 3 months when we stayed) which is located right in the heart of Madrid. This is a somewhat off-the-wall/wacky place with loads of novel design twists. It is part of the upmarket Ocean Drive group. Very clean throughout, exceptionally client focussed reception staff, secure underground car parking (albeit costing €35/night) and card access to all lift floors combine to give a high sense of security and safety. The restaurant food is the creative combination of three respected chefs from the Alicante region of Spain and is extremely innovative and good.

It is somewhat pricey particularly as a few of the facilities (such as the well publicised roof top bar) are not yet available due to licensing issues. Although the establishment advises small dogs are welcome, the place is not really that accommodating plus there is a €35/night cost!

Loved the location. Friendly staff. Great restaurant. Room was awesome!!

The pool wasn’t open which was disappointing because we booked it for the pool.

I didn't preorder the breakfast because of the breakfast rating, but after we checked in I decided to take a risk and I was surprised, because breakfast was excellent!

I didn't liked the bathroom design in the Corner Deluxe Double Room. But who likes open area interior design will love it.

staffs are very nice and friendly, very helpful for recommend the city tourist attractions and nearby restaurants. We had a huge car need to park in the hotel, I called the hotel and the receptions are very helpful sending me ditection through email and give me very specific direction to the garage. Room looks nicer than pictures. Location is fantastic.

1. The parking rate per day is a little expensive. 2. The hotel only offers free water for the first day of staying. 3. Water leaking to the room in the shower.

This hotel was above my expectations as a 4-star hotel! The room was very clean and spacious. The bed sheets were clean and soft. The bathroom was also nice, they provided bath robes and slippers which a lot of other hotels don’t. The location was perfect as it is near the center and Gran Via, we walked around without needing any taxi or even the metro because we stayed for one night only in Madrid. In short, if you have high standards when it comes to cleaning, sanitation, and overall appearance quality, you will love this hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel again in my next trip to Madrid.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Drive during July of this year. The location is brilliant and right next to Metro Opera and with great cafes and food options plus the Gran Via just minutes away. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave us many tips and info for places to visit and eat. The hotel rooftop is great but the pool is much smaller than it seems in the photos but still a good pool for a quick dip to cool off but not a lap pool. The room was very modern and had a coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable. The other thing we noticed was how quiet it was with no traffic or outside noise. One side of the hotel was a laneway so no cars etc but the other side was out onto the square below but the hotel seemed to be very well sound proofed. I’m a very light sleeper so tend to notice outside noise but we slept so well snd the AC was very good. The Wi Fi was also very good as was the breakfast and bar onsite.

The bathroom was quite a modern layout with no walls separating the bedroom and bathroom areas so quite an open plan layout. This worked fine for us but some couples may want more privacy than this and not like the layout.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was just amazing, we had tried a few different local restaurants, and they were okay, but once we had lunch in the hotel, we ate every single meal there afterwards. The cannelloni and the Caesar salad were exceptional. They cleaned our room every day and provided fresh towels daily.

On Saturday, the pool area was exceptional busy with non residents, and it was difficult to get a bed or chair. But during the week we had no issue. Be prepared that the shower is in full view in the bedroom, so if you are not there as a couple, it requires a little planning

We really lucked out by choosing Ocean Drive Madrid as our hotel for our first trip to Madrid. We spent about a week there in mid-November and then happily returned for an initially unplanned second stay in December. The location is great - within walking distance of many of the main sites in central Madrid and much more peaceful than the busy area around Gran Via, although it is still close by. The hotel is very chic and modern and that was what first got our attention when we were researching hotels online. Our rooms were spacious and the beds were especially comfortable. The entire hotel was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. The folks in reception were all unbelievably helpful in terms of our stay there and also very helpful in answering any and all questions about getting around to various sites, restaurants, etc. They always took the time to thoroughly and efficiently deal with any questions that we had. The breakfast buffet was really great in all regards and a fine way to start the day. The variety of food choices is terrific - everything including cured meats, cheeses, omelets, eggs benedict variations, fresh fruit, artisanal breads and delicious coffee. And the quality of the offerings and the service was consistently top-notch. We did not add the buffet on when we made our initial reservation, but decided to try it anyway our first morning there and were very glad that we did as we ended up looking forward to breakfast there every day of our stays. We had no complaints about any aspect of the facility at all, but what really stands out to me is the staff. Every employee, from the top down, was efficient, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We hope to be able to return to Madrid many times in future and would never even consider staying at a different hotel.
