Hotel Miau

It is lovely nice hotel, room was big enough for 1-2 persons. Bus and metro stops in 5-10 min walk distance (connection to airport, main train station), walking distance to museums, different sightseeing areas and parks. All the staff I met was really nice and helpful, secured luggage storage available. Bars and restaurants just around the corner, small shops also. Busy area but not noisy (bars just under the windows). Very comfy bed. Good value for the money.

I bigger shower space would be fine :)

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had The hotel is small, boutique and perfectly located for a short stay. The staff on all counts were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and nothing was too much to ask them. Thank you Alex, Stanislava and other support staff. The room was clean, renovated and well appointed - small but with a balcony for fresh air and good light, overlooking the plaza. The Bed was very comfortable and the soundproofing meant I slept like a baby for three nights even though my room faced onto Plaza Santa Ana. Air conditioning also worked like a dream. The breakfast buffet had great choice with plenty of fresh produce and traditional Continental or English style choices. Miau is in the centre of Madrid, close to all attractions and shops but the area was not touristy - rather a safe and liveable local neighbourhood. I really liked that.

I loved this place - the location was great it was in the central beautiful area, the room was clean, the breakfast was tasty and the staff was super helpful! My room was overlooking a beautiful plaza but it was not noisy so I could sleep well. The staff helped me with all my questions and special requests. Overall I felt very safe and welcomed in this hotel so I will return back again.

My room was a bit small comparing to generic hotel rooms so I think it will be small for two people but for me as a solo traveler it was fine.

The staff is amazing, so forthcoming and kind. Location is amazing - perfect for exploring the city. All major museums are within a walking distance. There is also good connection to other parts as the metro and bus stations are near by. Rooms are super clean and beds are comfy. Breakfast is good and plenty of options.

The small room I was in when I arrived had few problems - TV was broken, but it was replaced as soon as I reported, but the major problem is that soundproofing between rooms is terrible and I couldn’t sleep because of neighbors. However, I was moved into the other room that was just perfect. Also during the night the smell from the sewer was quite strong. So it seems that only the small room is the issue. With the other one I had no complaints whatsoever.

Centrally located and room and bathroom were a good size. The patio doors opened to allow fresh air in and the small balcony was good to judge the weather for the day. It also looked down on the large square. The front desk staff were happy to provide directions and suggestions on where to purchase snacks etc. we checked out early and they provided a boxed breakfast/lunch of sandwiches, apple, pear, roll and juice box.

The breakfast buffet could have more coffee choices (cappuccino) and labels on what some of the hot dishes were would have helped the non Spanish to choose. One day we arrived 1/2 hour before it closed, no scrambled eggs left and several people came in after us.

The staff were super helpful and especially on the last day, when my mother lost a diamond pendant down the sink and the manager of the hotel, did his utmost to help. Eventually he called his plumber, who came very swiftly and managed to cut open the pipes and retreved the pendant. And he totally did “not” over charge for doing it. Thankfully our weekend was not spoilt as mum was very devasted when she lost her pendant of extreme sentimental value to her. So forever grateful to the manage, the plumber and all the staff for their support. Thank you all from mum and me.

Hotel Miau is supremely located for a trip to Madrid. This was my second stay here and it was again exceptional. The staff was incredible.

The showers were small. A desk in the room would be nice. I have stayed in several room types at my different stays at his hotel, and the one I chose was smaller than what I had stayed in previously because I couldn't determine which room I was actually booking. The hotel was in the process of remodeling and my hope it that the result would offer larger rooms with larger showers.

Hotel is brilliantly located - in a buzzing square where there are loads of places to eat and/or drink. Within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortably big enough for 3 adults. We stayed in room 113, which is a triple room on the corner of the building. Had 3 great sized patio windows, all that looked out over the square and the bars etc. All the staff we spoke to were welcoming, friendly and super helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Nothing we didn’t like, we did have the hotel breakfast the first morning but on the other 2 mornings we chose to eat in the tapas bar next door purely because we wanted some more traditional Spanish food. Breakfast at the hotel is more continental style, toast, croissants etc.

Absolutely everything was great about this hotel. We had two rooms booked. Both were spacious, comfortable. Breakfasts were great - combination of hot and cold meals. Location is perfect - right in the historical centre with near-by underground parking! We had no problems parking our family mini-van in it. Hotel provided a discount for the parking. If we'll be travelling to Madrid next time - we'll definitely consider Miau hotel once again!

The hotel is located in a beautiful historical building in the very center of Madrid next to all the historical venues, it was very easy and convenient to get everywhere: museums, historical sites, all the bars and tavernas. Me and my best friend had a twin room - it was very spacious and with a great view. The hotel is very clean, wifi was excellent and the breakfast was very good - great coffee and lots of choice! But most of all I want to thank the staff of the hotel - they were wonderful and very helpful, when my friend got sick they helped with everything - everyone's been amazing. Definitely staying here again when I am in Madrid next time! Thank you again for the wonderful experience!
