Hotel Tiber

Have stayed at this facility several times. There are lots os restaurants very close and there is a shuttle to the Rome airport which is about 10 minutes from the property. They have a very nice breakfast. My favorite part is the location, which is right on the fishing dock along the Tiber with a view of the boat marina, and the sea beyond the river. There are working fishing boats docked across the street from the hotel and it’s fun to watch the fishermen returning with their catch in the afternoon.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. The hotel is not a luxury hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable and modern. Great value, and a convenient location from which to access the airport or to spend the night to recover from a long overseas trip

The location is excellent for an airport hotel. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants and water view. The breakfast area was beautiful and the breakfast itself was simple but nice. Seafood dinner we had at the restaurant was also good quality and reasonably priced.

The shuttle service was not straight forward as it could be. Make sure you know exactly where the shuttle service stand is on the airport before you arrive. Tiber Hotel does not have a dedicated stand unlike other hotels and a driver did not want to accomodate our party initially. We could have waited another 40 minutes if one person in our party had not insisted.

The location right on the Tiber and the sea, with the fishing boats docked and nets drying along the walkway along the river (in front of the hotel). Amazing views! Staff was friendly and hotel room very modern and comfortable. Our windows opened to overlook the river. I wish we had tried the hotel restaurant but there are many good restaurants nearby. Parking in the garage has a fee but we were able to take advantage of the free parking outside overnight. Our GPS took us through FCO airport to get there, and it was barely ten minutes to return by car. They do have a shuttle but we did not need it. Would love to return!

Couldn't get the hairdryer provided to keep running but, having to leave early for plane, did not have time to reach out to front desk or figure it out.

This is a newer modern hotel with pool and sundeck on the roof, a bar and restaurant, and large lobby area with plenty of seating. Rooms are of typical size and have TV with English speaking channels and a desk. The location is good, within walking distance of many restaurants. There is a shuttle to the airport (small fee) which is very convenient but it only runs during certain hours.

I tried to arrange airport pickup upon my arrival at FCO but was told it was not possible at the time I arrived. The alternative was a taxi or limo - quite expensive for a 2 mile distance.

Within 10 minute drive to the airport, right on the water, with a good breakfast. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and the room stayed cool.

We were given a room on the second floor which was a little outdated. A bathtub shower that didn’t drain and the water stayed cold, also bathroom was a little too dirty for my liking (mold stains etc) The room was less than and dirty looking. We called reception and told them of our issues and they gave us a room on the third floor. Totally a night and day difference I felt like I was staying in a different hotel. Both had balconies which was nice.

Arranging shuttle to the airport was so easy and stress free. The location of the hotel is great-near restaurants and shops. I was impressed with the facilities - they were modern and clean. Our room had a great view of the water. We didn't get time to use the pool but would have been hesitant anyway since a swim cap is mandatory. Would definitely stay here again!

No free breakfast but I knew that at booking. Would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of water in the room. They charge for the ones in the fridge.. Overall, not a dealbreaker but I feel like that would be nice considering the price.

That it had a shuttle service, breakfast and dinner. The reception staff, dinner staff and the shuttle staff were prompt, friendly and very helpful. Communications before our stay were prompt and efficient. Rooms were modern and comfortable.

The bar staff chatted continually amongst themselves very loudly and basically ignored us. Staff even discussed some office problem for 10 minutes while we stood at the bar waiting to order a drink. We were basically invisible. We had to catch their attention each time we wanted a drink. They didn’t come around to any people in the bar area to offer more drinks. Good way to not make money.

I've already been in this hotel. I knew what to expect. Easy parking, close to my favoutite restaurant in Fiumicino, cosy room.

The hotel management organised a late night music festival right to the entrance of the hotel. Jerry Calá was singing till midnight then another 2 hors disco. I couldn't sleep till 3am. How can a hotel management be se unprofessional to arrange a loud music festival just in front of the building? I got a 1st floor room exactly over the party. When I was booking the room there was no info that I should know I would not sleep that night. All this for cca 200 euro/night!!! Hotel staff was kind, tried to compensate me with bar drinks. The thing is that you cannot compensate a nitht without sleeping with a drink. Unprofessional hotel management! Pity, because the hotel itself is qiute good in my opinion.

Location and cleanliness

The reason I gave it an 8 was because they need to replace the mattress that was in my room 104 I don’t know about the other rooms but it was a hard mattress. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Italy with some good, some mediocre but tolerable mattresses but this one was just hard. The hotel itself was great, the staff needs to smile when greeting guests as they enter. The cleaning lady smiled more than the employees behind the front desk.

This is the best “airport” hotel we have stayed at that wasn’t RIGHT AT the airport. We travel from JFK where the airport hotels are not up to our standards. The hotel is modern, clean, good sized rooms that are quiet and dark, comfortable beds. It has a REAL BAR and good restaurant. We understand there are a couple of other good places to eat within a short walk. Check in was professional, friendly and fast both times we stayed here. There is a paid shuttle available, but you better make your reservations early! We had to pay for a taxi because there were no seats left on the early shuttles. Ten minute ride. Taxi cost 30 euro.
