The Emperor Hotel

It was very beautiful, very clean. Staff came every morning to change the towels and do the bed. Reception staff were very friendly and professional. I missed my connection flight when arriving so I arrived ine day later and did not stay the first night and they were very efficient on the phone call and refunded me the first night. It has a gym area which was very small and did not have many equipments and usually only one person at a time can workout but it was alright. Public transpost was super easy. Right in front of the door was a bus station. 2 minutes walking a tram station and 9 minutes walking to wan chai MTR station.

Maybe the gym could be expanded and made bigger. And WiFi should be a secured network because I was working and my business laptop has a secured account which needed a secure network or VPN so I couldn’t use the Wifi to work

Amazing modern and refurbished rooms. I was on the 21st floor so had an amazing view. The room was so nice, clean, modern and the bed/duvet was one of the best I’ve had slept in a while. There’s also a gym which I didn’t get to fully use but still lovely to have.

It’s right in between Wan Chai & Causeway Bay station, about 10 mins walk either side up hill so be prepared to walk. There’s no easy way to get to airport besides taxi. I.e no connecting bus or shuttle to HK Station or Kowloon for AirPort Express. Staff were only ok, didn’t tell me much about the property and facilities/restaurants etc.

Breakfast mainly Chinese food which if had been lunch would’ve been fine, but western stomachs not used to it for breakfast. But omelettes, fruit and vg coffee was available - just didn’t get great value for money as leaving a lot of food out

Room was pretty spacious. I liked the hidden closet and fridge. Bathroom was really nice too.

No option on climate control for just a fan. It was either really cold or if you turn the AC off, really humid.

the deposit took a month to be refunded, but I guess it’s more of a bank provider issue. not sure why they need the deposit as I book through booking.com Breakfast buffet should be included in the price as it was not cheap

Good location, modern, clean.

Lack of reception seating, reception staff came across quite rude however the cleaners were very happy and friendly.

I ordered double bed on booking.com, which were available options under the room selection. but turn out when I checked in the hotel , they said there was only two single bed room available and they asked me to add extra money for an executive room if i prefer a double bed one. it was quite upsetting as won’t pick the hotel if I know there only got room with two single bed. two single bed for one single person is definitely a meaningless setting.

Excellent Location, a stones throw from Happy Valley, Paul at the reception during check in was the most humble and respectful staff I have met for Years. In room, the powerful shower was therapeutic for the body and mind.

Rooms and beds are small but hey, this is the most expensive real estate in the world!

appreciate the staff who helping us check in, forgot his name, maybe Felia or Felix😂, a guy with glasses. As we checked in at around 3pm, so the room is nor available. But he tried his best to arrange is a king size bed room. Really appreciate hskp sfaff as well. Definitely will come back!!

It was quite good value for money compared to other options surveyed in Hong Kong. Room was nice and cozy

The MTR is not nearby so it is recommended that you know how to take buses.
