Shine Albayzín

This hotel is amazing. Rooms are beautifully finished, bathrooms are very modern and stunning. Clean and modern with a classic touch. You can expect 3 different types of pillows which it’s honestly very rare (great for people like me who are particular when it comes to pillows). You also get complementary toothbrushes, shaving kit, water and wine. Location is perfect, interior of lobby is beautiful. I highly recommend this place as it was highlight in our travels.

Fantastic location, personal feel and the traditional features of the hotel. The rooms were simple yet had a lovely feel and we loved going back to relax and watch the hustle and bustle of the area from the quiet of our room. If you can, get a room overlooking the Alhambra. There's no breakfast included but there are lots of places to eat including the coffee shop right next door.

The quaint little street does carry quite a lot of traffic ie little buses and taxis so not entirely peaceful if you have the door open - you can't really hear anything once the door is shut. A small price to pay for being in a great location.

It was extraordinary to be able to walk in and out of a restore 16th century palace for four days. Each time we walked through the beautiful interior courtyard, it was a balm for our sightseeing weariness. We chose a larger room on the street side and we loved watching and hearing the activity below us. We highly recommend those rooms (but bring a noise machine to sleep with).

The access in and out of the hotel is akin to a thrill ride as you traverse the narrow street to the door of the Palace. We loved it, but it might not be everyone’s favorite.

Lovely discrete hotel hidden behind an oak door. We choose internal views as it has a beautiful internal courtyard. Even though bustling outside the rooms were silent and immaculate with very nice bathroom. It was right on a old street and with great access to the Alhambra via a pedestrian road up the hill. The staff were very informative and helpful receiving us early and looking after our belongings when we left. We found it a perfect location with a nice wine bar tapas exactly opposite when returning in the afternoon.

The coffee/tea area was a little limited for sitting and chatting (so go the the wine bar :) ) and watch out for the busses when stepping out!!! Some distance from train station (but no hills on the way)

Very friendly receptionist. Cool, atmospheric lobby and landing. Our superior room was perfectly clean and comfortable with a very welcome small complimentary bottle of wine. From our tiny balcony we had an Alhambra view. The location is ideal for all the city highlights. It took us 20 mins to walk up to the Alhambra. I loved this hotel and have already recommended it to friends.

While this was not a problem for us, you should be aware that you have to drive through some very narrow streets to access the San Agustin carpark which is a 10 min walk from the hotel. We left our car in the carpark for just over 30 hours and it cost 39 euros. Also, we ignored the frequent requests to supply a photo of our passport via WhatsApp to the hotel before arrival. I think this is only essential if you arrive outside of reception opening hours.

Antonio was wonderful when we arrived by explaining the top places to visit in the city, showing us on the map, and sharing his favorite places to eat. The hotel was so quaint, exactly how we imagined it from the photos. The room was also quaint and had everything we needed. We loved the French doors opening up to the cute street below and the Alhambra. The cafe was awesome, equipped with good food, smoothies, juices and a variety of coffee and tea drinks. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable bed good shower think we had an accessible room with slightly larger shower. Quiet air con. Free welcome gift of bottle of wine in room on arrival. Located in historic Albayzin area within easy reach of main sights to visit. We walked up the hill to the Alhambra roughly 20 minutes ok if your fit and able otherwise taxis are readily available. If you plan to visit the Alhambra make sure you book well in advance as tickets are limited. We booked a guided tour which is probably the best option as you could easily miss important parts. Friendly and helpful hotel staff reception hours are limited manned 14:00 to 21:00. We had a room on second floor facing into the courtyard it was nice and quiet. There is a kettle and coffee machine on this floor for guests to use. Would stay again if we return to Granada.

Everything was good.

I couldn't have chosen a more perfect hotel for our 3-night stay in Granada. Location is perfect, right in Albaicin area. There are lots of restaurants and tapas bars nearby and the entrance to Al Hambra Palace was only about 20-min (uphill) walk from there. Room was bigger than expected, we were in room 102 with a view of the river. It was also very clean too. I have to say that the best thing about this hotel is the service I've received from their staff, Antonio was extremely helpful and gave us so many local tips on where to go for drinks, food and what to do. They also arranged a flamenco show for us in a cave which was a great experience. We've tried all of Antonio's recommendations and they were top notch! I'd definitely recommend this property if you're visiting Granada and I personally won't stay anywhere else if I ever get the chance to visit again.

The building itself breathes history and I loved the quiet vibe of it. Rooms are comfortable and simple, bathroom was clean and spacious enough. The area is stone throw away from the plaza where you can find bars and restaurants. The adjacent coffee shop offers fabulous breakfast options. Reception staff who checked us in was friendly and kind enough to spend few extra minutes to give us some suggestions even tho it was after the official check in hours and we arrived literally when he was about to leave the premises. We appreciated that simple gesture of hospitality.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in Granada and our room looked onto the river at the bottom of the hill the Alcazar sits on. The staff gave great advice for info in the area and the restaurants they suggested were incredible. The style of the hotel is stunning and the amenities were all exactly as you needed with complementary wine included! I would highly recommend staying here.

Hardly anything to improve for this stay. As the building is very old there's only limited space in the lift but it can easily fit one person and a bag.
