Excellent location and extremely good value for the price. The hotel is located at Plaza Nueva in the old city center - ideally for reaching any sightseeing attraction, and to restaurants and bars. Some of the best restaurants are just around the corner as well as the walkway up to the Alhambra. The room was small but very clean, comfortable and very well equipped - and surprisingly quiet given the location in this busy neighborhood. The hotel staff was very friendly, gave us great recommendations for restaurants and even helped us finding a phone shop for an emergency repair !

Due to the location in the old city (UNESCO heritage site) there is no parking option close to the hotel. If coming with a car, one needs to make use of a parking garage outside the old center (5 min cab ride or 15 min walk from the hotel). Other than that everything was great!

wonderful, warm, helpful reception staff! They gave us an upgraded room because we were there for only one night and the room was available. Very well equipped and comfortable, with well equipped bathroom - even a disposable non-slip mat for the shower. very good location for restaurants and also for getting to the Alhambra by a short taxi ride.

Only complaints had nothing to do with the hotel! The flamenco show the staff suggested was very amateurish, disorganized, and low quality! The trip to the Alhambra was spoiled only by the fact that the agency we used for the tickets didn't explain that we had to pick up the tickets and the audio equipment at a totally different location, which turned out to be around the corner from our hotel, so we ended up taking a taxi to the Alhambra, then having to go back to our hotel area to the ticket agency, then back to the Alhambra! Warning to read the info on Alhambra tickets very carefully!

I had a tiny budget-priced room (so no view) but it was very quiet. Premium rooms would have great view of the lively plaza. Perfect central location. The room I was in would benefit from redecorating and new carpet, but it was fine for a couple of nights and great value. I loved the little half-sized bath in the bathroom! Would definitely choose this hotel again. Staff were really helpful.

The only socket was where the tv was plugged in which was on the opposite wall to the bed: it needs another socket by the bed for phone charger.

The location was perfect- center of the action. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage after checkout until it was time to leave. Breakfast buffet was very extensive with hot and cold options and very fresh. We loved Hotel Macià Plaza. Our balcony room overlooking the plaza and Alhambra was great. Doors were well insulated so closed, you could hardly here the noise below. With the door open, you were part of the action and music below.

We couldn't really figure out how to get the TV to work but we didn't ask. There were no directions for it but we didn't care. Just a note for someone who may want TV. Pillows were too flat.

The location was amazing for visiting the Alhambra and enjoying the Semana Santa processions. Great restaurants nearby and everything easily walkable or with public transit. The room had almost everything you could need but being a single room, was quite small with no view which was not unexpected.

The only reason I didn’t give it a 10 was that this particular room was on the top floor and not accessible by the elevator (elevator did go to the 4th floor so you only had to climb the last flight). It wasn’t a huge deal as I was able to carry my suitcase without trouble but could have been a problem for someone with reduced mobility. The only other negative was lack of electrical plugs in the room. Small issue but frustrating when travelling and trying to ensure devices are charged. There was one plug in the bathroom and a second in the closet wall if you moved the tv. Not a deal breaker but an oddity by today’s standards.

Rocia, who worked the night desk when we arrived and throughout our five nights, was extraordinarily helpful as well as being truly affable. It was nice to come home from a long day to find her at the desk. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The location is central. We had a room overlooking the plaza with a view of La Alhambra. That places it steps away from everything - including, as it happens, the University of Granada, where I was attending a conference. The breakfast was quite adequate. The cook has some secret for keeping the scrambled eggs moist when in the chafing pan. The coffee is fine.

My wife was disappointed that there was no instant coffee with the usual array of choices at the kettle. But she brings sachets of her own, just in case. The wall paper is a bit old and starting to peel at the seams. Neither of those detracted from the overall comfort of the room. We're not in Granada to stay in the room, anyway - although we did find ourselves partaking of the hours of siesta.

Staff was very helpful, bathtub was pretty nice and located at the main plaza of the city.

Even though I've stayed in a non-smoking room, we've felt a bad smell.

The room was good.

The receptionist, Sylvia Serrano, charged me incorrectly. She charged me $318 as opposed to the $228 I agreed to on Booking.com. Good thing I checked my Booking.com documents when I got to the room. She initially said that that was the price booking.com gave her. When she pulled up my reservation, she realized that she charged me incorrectly. Always check after you've paid.

Very comfortable and central, slightly more expensive than the alternatives but well worth it. Breakfast available for 8 euros/person. As we were a group, one evening they let us use the downstairs breakfast room to hang out and chat. The hotel is well located, close to ATMs, bars and restaurants and a Carrefour branch three mins away. The staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants nearby.

I understand that it's not a major problem in the great scheme of things, but I'm waiting for my invoice to be corrected (they took a random name of one person in my group instead of my name as the person who made the booking - and my Booking.com profile is fully up to date precisely to facilitate invoice preparation). Apparently there is a long time to wait for the department administration to get an error corrected.

Perfect location so close to the Alhambra. Amazing restaurants & tapas bars just a few steps away. Top floor rooms with standing patios overlooking the square are amazing.

The room was unfortunately right next to the single elevator with manual door, so it was very noisy early with morning traffic. Just put in some earplugs, and you're golden!
