YING'nFLO, Hong Kong, Wan Chai

The design was nice and refreshing - made up for the small space. The breakfast amenities and i was upgraded to a new room.

Before the upgrade, it was very misleading since the internet photo of the room we selected showed the newly upgraded rooms and the difference between new and old is quite a lot! Also taxis never seem to know how to get to the hotel or refuse to drop off/pick up in front which is very inconvenient given the hotel is located on a steep hill and usually we were carrying things coming back.

Lovely little self contained flats. Perfect for travelling couple. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure very good in shower. Little kitchen with enough utensils for two people. Housekeeping very good - change sheets and towels every day and leave complimentary bottles of water. There were also some soft drinks in the room on check in. Staff at desk very helpful and friendly. There’s a little garden terrace perfect for sitting in the evenings and two inside lobbies all very stylish and clean. There’s complimentary coffee 24/7 and some light breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect access to Wan Chai MTR station - five minute walk away and lots of nice restaurants in the area.

I did see a rat in the outside terrace one night but I believe that’s a Hong Kong issue and not the building’s fault as all the premises are very clean!

Comfortable bed with good linen, quiet, nice bathroom, appreciated the 'free' cans of soft drinks in the fridge. The staff were kind and helpful, I liked the free coffee at reception and the morning pastry or fruit. Well located.

Kitchen is small but a colander to drain pasta would have been useful. No plug bedside apart from the clock radio which ended up being unplugged. The TV had limited English language options - Sky and CNN only. The climb up to the hotel is short - maybe 100 feet - but pretty steep. Don't forget something!

Nice funky studio concept that’s a bit different from the overpriced functional business or leisure hotels in the surrounding Wan chai and Causeway Bay area. Clearly aimed at young professionals and couples who want something a little closer to an Airbnb stay but with certain standards and facilities attached. I enjoyed having a small kitchen to prepare some breakfast, and a decent desk area to work from (note that I think the smaller rooms don’t have a desk). They also have free coffee and some fruit/ snacks available in reception in the morning. I also enjoyed it as a base for running/ walking in the hills above Wan Chai each morning.

The lift is pretty slow (think it’s something inherited from when the building was an apartment block). The hotel could also be better signposted from the main road.

Great area to be around! It has abit if a hilly walk for about 30m but only 7 mins walk from substation. Place was spacious, you could actually have a long term stay here! I was on 2nd floor but felt higher! Beddings, matress and pillows were from a high quality. There was a complimentary set of pastries and fruits in the morning served at reception every day, too! Near by there is a chain boulancherie and some nice restaurants and a couple of bars.

The photos seem not to show exact the decoration on the room. So you may want to keep your expectations low (at leats for the small room option). Also, there seems to be a slight issue with the shower as either it is too humid or the water quality leaves stains on the tiles. I would expect for the price of the room though the sofa not to have stains and some tea or coffee to be available in the apartment along with dishwasher liquid and sponge which seem missing.

Great location. Close to cafe and restaurants. Staffs are friendly. Room is spacious compared to other places in Hongkong. The hotel design is cool.

The hotel is situated on a steep and taxi/uber won't go up. So it's not an ideal place if you are travelling with elderly people. I understand that some rooms, including the room I stayed hasn't renovated yet. The room is pretty dim and the air ventilation wasn't work well at first. I had to open window for a while, but overall the stay was pretty comfortable.

they do not allow cancellations with refund during my stay although it was a family emergency and I was only leaving one night earlier than expected. The washer and dryer combo was not intuitive, the signs/instructions could have been clearer, it did not dry my clothes as expected and i soon got tired of having to deal with it.

The staff at this property are awesome. Nothing is an issue and are happy and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and they's ample supermarkets and eat out options. There's a great outdoors area as well. I will certainly be returning here as not just value for money but a perfect location with great public transport within minutes.

The location was perfect for me. I am use to visit Hong Kong. Wanchai is the perfect spot to move around. If you are looking for an hotel with a view or facilities, this is not the one. But if you want to visit Hong Kong and have a comfortable place to sleep and rest, this is it! The staff is dedicated and very accommodating.

Comfortable and clean. Small kitchen and washer/dryer in room. Perfect for long term stay. Location perfect- close to public transportation including MTR and Star Ferry. Market and restaurants near by.
