Kew Green Hotel Wanchai Hong Kong

The hotel boasts a great location, making it easy to access key attractions. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and pleasant environment. However, the overall friendliness of the staff fell short of expectations. While not rude, the service lacked the warmth and hospitality that can elevate a stay from good to great. It is an area where improvement could significantly enhance the overall guest experience. In summary, Kew Green Hotel offers a fantastic location and clean accommodations, but a more welcoming and friendly staff demeanour would undoubtedly improve the overall stay.

The room was nice, spacious and clean. It had a bench which allowed me to work when I was away from the office. The air conditioning unit worked great as did the air purifier. Staff were always available to help and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well as an MTR station so getting around the place was very easy and convenient.

The door for the cupboard was missing and there wasn't a long mirror available. When I last stayed at the hotel the bathroom door had long mirror on the back of it but that wasn't the case this time round - this was also the case with the sliding door for the cupboard. In the grand scheme of things these were minor inconveniences but I thought I'd ought to mention them.

The place has everything that you would need and it’s close to many convenient locations and attractions. For the price to quality ratio, it’s a solid choice. The staff there were very accommodating and would be swift in helping you resolve any requests or concerns. The bed was super comfortable - you could just melt into it.

Wish there was a ramp to roll your luggage up to the elevators instead of lifting it up steps. A small issue, but it just seemed strange to not have that option. In the room that I had, it was a bit humid but that room came supplied with a dehumidifier which made it a non-issue in the end.

Compared to hotels of a similar class, my room (Spacious Comfort Twin) was a bit larger (23m2 vs 18m2) and the charge was reasonable. The reception staff were helpful, especially Mr Karl Chan, who was very courteous and quick in resolving problems during my 3 week stay. The Kew Space Restaurant on the M floor (see photo) is well decorated and offers Western semi-buffet on week days at a good price.

Perhaps due to Covid, many hotels have cut the frequency of room cleaning to once in 3 or 4 days, though u can ask for refill or change of essential items at any time. For the convenience of tenants, it might be better to improve room cleaning to once in 2 days .

Leaking air con on first night but service was excellent as we were quickly moved to a new room in the morning and hotel staff were apologetic. Hotel gym was a bit small but always free with limited people using.

Location of the hotel is very good. It's very near to buses and the Wanchai MTR station. There are also a lot of eateries along the same street of the hotel. There is also 24/hr convenience stalls and a supermarket (Wellcome) nearby which you can easily buy snacks and water.

There were some steps to take before reaching the lift lobby. This can be quite cumbersome for old folks or when you have heavy and many luggages. However, this is not a big issue.

Location is perfect, staff are friendly. It's close to everything, very convenient. There is also a bus a couple of blocks away which can take you directly to the beach. Love it.

The mask mandate goes crazy in Hong King. The staff would come out to tell you to wear a mask in the lobby where no one is around. They also demand you to wear a mask when they themselves wear a mask and speak to you on the other side of a glass partition. It's very inconvenient and unfriendly for international travelers. There is also limited TV programs available. It only has one English news channel and nothing more. It's short of many entertainment programs and full of Mainland TV channels. My room was in fact much smaller than what the pictures show.

The room was excellent. Everything worked and the refrigerator was cold. It was clean and well appointed with coffee, toiletries, and complimentary water. The free wi-fi worked very well. The location is close to MTR, Trams and central to most of HK islands shopping.

The selection of TV channels was pretty poor. Not one English news service.

Great location on the Hk island and very well connected to all the must see sites of HK. The staff is very helpful, I had misplaced my passport and they were very quick to provide support to help me find it. Humidity was extremely high in September but our room was well equipped with a dehumidify and very good air con. The pillows and mattresses were so comfy.

They put me on the 17th floor and I can still hear a bit of street noise. It is not bad but for sure you can hear it. I did mention that I am a light sleeper so the gesture of putting me on higher floor is much appreciated.

Hallway is a bit dark if you care about those things. Doesn't affect safety but hard for me to see that's all.
