Hotel Madera Hollywood

The staff upgraded my room to a much bigger one for free. They were very professional throughout the whole stay.

Location and the space in rooms which is rare in HK. The staff is lovely and go above and beyond. I always feel at home here and can walk to everything needed in Central.

There is not any hand soap provided in the bathroom. This would be a good idea. Also, the haidryers are very old and of low wattage that they really do not work. You cannot properly blow dry and style hair with them which is terribly inconvenient and annoying. I stay here often so next time I will buy them a good one to keep for me to use during stays or maybe they can simply buy a few hair dryers that actually work well to offer out upon request for guests. The prices have gone up for what they as they are not nicely decorated which did not bother me because of the size of the rooms and the prices, but recently the price seems a bit high for what it is.

Pleasant staff who were very keen to help. We were abe to leave our luggage before and after checkin time. Nice to have a gym though some of the equipment needed repair. Bathroom is roomy with a great shower. Comfortable bed and nice sheets. Nespresso coffee machine with 3 pods replaced daily. Washing machine with detergent supplied on request was appreciated. Great location to get around Soho, Central and Sheung Wan easily on foot.

"kitchenette" had very little other than 2 small cups, 2 small plates and 2 bowls, so don't plan on even a very basic meal. No cleaning gear for the kitchen.

The locations is great. The staff is very helpful.

The staff (both for check-in and check-out) were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and the free drinks in the minibar were nice touches. If you just want a clean hotel in a prime location but don't need (or want to pay for) the fancy views, doormans who open your car door and other extra frills, this is a good choice. There were only two rooms on my floor so it was very quiet too.

Nothing major to complain. The light switch for the living room was a bit odd. I could either turn all the lights on or off completely, but couldn't manipulate individual lights..? I just couldn't figure it out during the stay. The study desk is tucked away in a corner behind the bedroom, which some people might prefer but it wasn't a typical floorplan I've seen in a hotel before.

Location is perfect for business. Easy access to restaurants. Simple to get a taxi or to take the mid level escalators up and down to central. Washer/dryer is a welcome luxury - we had severe rain in Singapore resulting in all of our luggage being soaked. We were able to use the dryer to dry our clothes for the convention. Staff very helpful. I needed medical assistance and they helped me locate doctor and xray location.

Honestly - everything is wonderful. Zero complaints or suggestions for improvement.

Due to a partly negative review from someone complaining about construction nearby the hotel, we were very hesitant to book… Due to location and other positive comments, we decided to take the chance. There is a building construction going on that affects small part of the view from the living room, but has nothing to do neither with the hotel nor Hollywood rd. The apartment/suite is absolutely amazing, well equipped and incredible spacious. It had even a walk in closet. The location is amazing, the streets across are filled with restaurants and bars, that are much better than Lan Kwai Fong that was almost empty on Saturday evening. The tram and Star ferry are both in walkable distance, around 15minutes. Receptionists were super helpful and polite. Will only stay here when we visit HK in the future. Highly recommended.

It was a large room for Hong Kong standard! Came with a kitchenette and laundry facilities. Was a pleasant experience and will definitely go back to this hotel when in HK. It was centrally located in Central. Easily accessible to MTR and food.

It could be a bit challenging getting to the hotel on foot especially when travelling with senior members of the family.

Wonderful room, comfy “home” feeling, with the trendy side a plus. Plenty stylish storage space when staying for a while, and the kitchenette and its bar stole my heart. The shower is at least 1.5sqm and a funny Chaplin will invite you to watch the step (loved that detail). Very friendly and attentive staff, which isn’t always the case in HKG :)

Can’t think of anything… If i have to be a bit picky, the kitchenette in the Suite could use more tableware (cups, glasses, spoons). The staff diligently and efficiently sent some more upon request, but there was plenty space to fit a bit more than 2 sets in the cupboards ;)
