All staff are well trained, professional and friendly. Hotel is within walking distance to both Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens and Hong Kong Park. There is a supermarket (Fusion) just across the street. Our room was quiet.

Note that the hotel shuttle bus only runs on weekdays and only a few rounds during rush hour. Download Citybus app and make use of Route 12A across the street that will bring you to Central mtr station and Admiralty mtr station.

The location is really convenient as you have a plethora of accessibility points especially to different MTR lines right from Central/HK station (only a 15 minute walk). We found the walk down leisurely and enjoyable, even in the summer heat. Walking up is slightly more tedious/tiring, but for only 30HKD taxi between 2 or more people it's extremely good value for money to get back from the MTR station. You are also at a location that is nearby to a Fusion supermarket for any goods you might need, (directly opposite the hotel) and at a location surrounded by exciting restaurants/nightlife.

The variation in breakfast was not exciting. I also think there could be more options in drinks and/or styles of breakfast - buffet-style breakfasts could be a great way to add more creativity to the menu.

Two MacDonnell was a great hotel for a short break in Hong Kong. The staff were incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond for me and my daughter. The room was as described and we opted for slight upgrade for city views. The housekeeping was excellent. Breakfast choices were a bit limited (it would have been nice to have more variety of eggs) but was great quality - the evening menu is expansive and includes a very good kids menu. The location is great in terms of views (the cafe has amazing views) and access to The Peak and the Botanical Gardens, We really should have used taxis more - as it is really a climb back up from Central and a good 20 mins from the top of the escalators. I would recommend it highly. A great choice to be on HK Island without breaking the bank.

The location is a little tricky - all the reviews explain it but it doesnt really translate until you are there. It is a schlep up very steep hills. Use taxis!

We got the 1 bedroom apartment as we have a 4 month old baby. They provided a baby bath tub, we brought our own travel cot. I liked that they had a laundry room that you have to pay to use, gym and free cooked breakfast in a nice cafe setting. our apartment had a kitchenette, separate living and bedroom. small dining table for 2, big bed with bathtub. it was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards. The location is about 10 min walk through the gardens into central / Lan Kwai Fung and Wyndham street, which is where all the restaurants and bars are. There’s a supermarket Fusion, about 2 mins walk and the botanical gardens under 5 mins walk away.

It’s not close to an MTR but there’s a bus that takes you there from central. I didn’t like that you had to pay to use the laundry as we’ve stayed in other serviced apartments that have free use of their laundry. We also tried to book it again but the price was double the next time we booked which wasn’t

The room and location are both very good. The staff in general are helpful and courteous.

The breakfast menu is poorly thought out. There is no options for people who needs a larger breakfast. In particular, the two minute noodle soup has no vegetable in it, a surprising omission for a noodle in HK. We went for after dinner sweets on night with 5 other people. The staff did little to find us a suitable table and suggested us sitting next to a rowdy table. We looked around and put together 2 tables on the other side of the dining area. The ice cream that we ordered came out in a paper container like one you get from a street vendor. There was not even any effort to put some decorations around it.

A lovely serviced apartment. We stayed in a suite as a family with a toddler and was perfect for our stay. The kitchenette was very useful and plenty of wardrobe space. Really friendly staff happy to help with any questions we had. Botanical gardens on the doorstep which was a big plus. Handy stop for the peak tram nearby. Gym and laundry services available.

10min steep walk back from central- not an issue at all if fit and in no rush- with a toddler we chose to mainly get a taxi. Breakfast finished 10.30 on the dot! This may be similar for other nearby hotels but not quite the same laid back approach to timings as used to in other countries and all foods/coffee machine etc packed away by 10.30.

Very spacious room considering cost and sizing of stays in HK! Also really clean and the in-room kitchen was very handy and well-equipped. The views from the higher floors are great, and the breakfast area has a stunning view too! Modern enough and love the mirrors everywhere which brighten up the space in the room too. It was also a lovely surprise that we were within walking distance of the botanical zoo with many animals and plants on display! A great way to start each day’s commute by walking through the gardens to get to the MTR.

Location is fine to walk to and from in the day time, but was tricky to walk back to the hotel from the MTR at night once the botanical gardens closed. Google maps doesn’t give an alternative route that excludes the gardens, so we had a rather tough time navigating by foot. Recommend taking a cab to/from the airport and also at night when heading back! Save yourself the hassle and enjoy the convenience with cars.

The room was very bog with nice windows and living room area, it was very comfortable to have all that space. We thought we wouldn't use the kitchen facilities but we did in the end, so it was great to have the options! Decent breakfast and nice staff :)

The location is a bit tricky. While it's only 5 minute ride from the station, the only sensible way to take a cab and those were hard to get during rush hour. Also not many traditional restaurants around the area, which was a shame.
