Tante ALMA's Hotel Lasthaus am Ring

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Restaurants, shops, supermarket etc. on doorstep yet no noise interference - we were on 4th floor overlooking busy street. Good air con plus windows that opened. Loved the old style hotel decor & variety of sitting ,reading & games rooms available all decorated to a high standard. Adequate size double room, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom & high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Self Service continental breakfast good. Afternoon complimentary tea a nice touch. Staff friendly & courteous & willing to engage with guests & advise on transport, trips etc.

Would have preferred a kettle to coffee maker as we dont drink coffee !!

The hotel is located in a vibrant neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. It is also well situated for sightseeing and there is a metro station very close by. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and well maintained. It has old world charm. The parking was easily accessible and safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast consisted primarily of breads and cereals, but was very relaxed and just what was needed to start the day. The view from the room provided a panorama of the city and the Dom. I will definitely return to this hotel!

Interior design. Very clean! Attentive stuff. Great location (walking distance from train station, grocery store next door, a lot of restaurants in the area). Quiet in the room despite being located on a street with intense night life. I had a special request for the room, which was fulfilled without hesitation!

Elevator was not working, but I was informed about it in advance and offered complimentary water. the facilities are very clean, but quite old. Weird smell in the room required a few hours of ventilation.

cosy, perfekt location. nice that we could check in early, get our luggage in place, and have a good long day in the city- truly an aunt alma hotel. Maybe an older hotel, but the expression made it fine. You have to remember that you are in the middle of an active area, and will meet all types of people. That's how big cities are

A nice hotel, in a perfect location. The room was clean, spacious and vey silent. The toilet was rather small, but essential. The staff is friendly and kindly meet different request (as, for instance, a boiler in the room). Just one thing: out of respect for the environment, they would not change the towels every day - and that's fine - but they don't even tidy up the room!

The lights in the room needed a key to be activated, which was also the door key. Hence, I could not load my PC while I was out for dinner.

Friendly with nice touches of Alma's Spielzimmer for example. My friends sweated in their more expensive hotel, but the air-conditioning at Tanten worked for me perfectly. I nearly had to drive due flight cancellations, if I had, the car park looked secure though an extra charge. Not in centre, but a close U-Bahn station.

Great location, our rooms had lovely views looking over to the cathedral. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The entire aesthetic of the hotel was really pleasant. They also have a convenient parking lot behind the hotel which is reasonably priced. Cleaning staff were lovely to our dog too!

The breakfast is pretty limited compared to other hotels, although the coffee was great. They also seemed a bit understaffed while we were there, the reception was often unmanned. When we complained our rooms had not been cleaned during the day, one member at reception claimed it wasn't normal for rooms to be cleaned in Germany! Which clearly isn't true.

Truly a unique hotel hidden in plain sight. Like the scene from a Poirot movie, it has a variety of common rooms in authentic old-fashioned style, from the dining room, to the games room to the lounge. The hotel rooms themselves are super comfy and modern. Also has its own private parking (pay per night) which comes in handy in an otherwise busy neighborhood. Would definitely stay there again.

The decor in itself is a reason to stay. It was great to have so much to do within the hotel, with the music room, games room and nice breakfast on site - as we went over Christmas when much was closed. It was also very helpful to have a fridge in our room. The location is great, only a 15-20 minute walk to the Cathedral. Definitely would stay again

This hotel has a lot of character so I enjoyed staying here on my first visit to Cologne. Also, the location is great and it’s super easy to get around from there. I arrived earlier than check in time but my room was ready early so was allowed early check in which was so helpful. I’d stay here again.

The rooms have a small fridge and would have been nice to provide some drinking water for guests.
