Hotel Terminus am Hauptbahnhof

I’ve stayed in this hotel like three times in the past and it always fulfilled my expectations. The room is spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, better than mine at my home. The staff was very friendly and made me feel super welcome. The location is also good around the main station.

The only minus is that the drainage of the shower didn’t work quite well. The water accumulated a bit but in general not a big problem.

Very kind and helpful staff, close to train station in a lively and animated neighbourhood.

A bit tiny and small space

The staff was very friendly, it was in a good location and the rooms were very clean.

You can hear the sounds of the other room now and then, you can only hear them if the other guests are being very loud. It didn't bother us to the point where we can't sleep. The room could also be warmer.

1. The neighbourhood felt a little unsafe. There were lot of people around, and I can’t help but notice that majority were men (who like to stare) and a good number of homeless (?) people as well. I would not choose to stay here again solely because of this, even though it was very near the central station and I did feel safe within the building, just that the walk back to the hotel was always a little anxiety-inducing. 2. The pillow was so soft, it was like as if its non-existent.

Location was great, it's right around the corner from the Hauptbahnhof, very convenient. The breakfasts were really lovely, fresh coffee and juices, breads, jams, eggs, nicely laid on time. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, letting me keep my suitcase there for a few hours after I checked out, but before I left Hamburg. I'd definitely go back, such a good value and comfortable place.

The shower drained really slowly like it was a little clogged (it was shared with the others on my floor). But ultimately it did drain alright.

Delightful, helpful staff. Great location close to station and other public transport so very easy to get to anywhere in Hamburg. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. Good to have a fridge in reception area with soft and alcoholic drinks for sale.

Slightly dodgy area with groups of men ( usually homeless, drug addicts or drunks) hanging around day and night. We never felt threatened though and this is usual near major railway stations. The hotel is very secure.

The staff here were phenomenal, they helped us with everything including even switching rooms as my mother has joint issues. We took the wrong kind of EU charger and they borrowed us one, we had to wrap a wedding gift we purchased whilst we were in Hamburg and they borrowed us scissors. Very friendly and genuinely nice people.

The location is not ideal, in Hamburg near the train station seems the most dangerous place to stay as it attracts homeless people and people who were evidently on drugs, and walking back to the accommodation was quite intimidating. Mainly because if something happened I had my two parents that would be quite defenceless and there was only myself and my partner to potentially intervene. I wouldn't recommend the location to lone women travellers, definitely be in a pair with someone else as it is very intimidating to see people unable to walk and hallucinating then screaming at you.

Personal was very friendly and helpfull. There always was somebody at counter. The room was small, but actually had everything I needed, wifi worked perfectly. Location was also perfect, a short walk from central station. The supermarket 100 meters away. Breakfast was good enough and capuchino from cofee machine was just good :)

I planned my day to leave exactly at check-out time (at 12:00) as I had a work call with my colleagues that day, but crew memeber interrupted my call started knocking on my door at 11:50 asking if I was going to get out. That was a little bit disappointing.

The location near the central Hamburg train station is excellent! The room, newly renovated, was basic and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! The local neighborhood is very lively with lots of diverse cultures and people.

The access to the hotel was a bit strange, as in not immediately accessing the hotel reception when entering the building. This is not the hotel for you if you have mobility challenges or are carrying heavy bags. The small elevator helps a lot, but you are likely to have to carry your bags up or down a half-storey.

Great location for central Hamburg including a four-five minute walk from the central train and bus station. Only stayed for one night due to layover. Easy check-in and check-out with reception open 24/7. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfy room. Bathroom clean as well and decent size shower. Price and quality seem a fair match.

The hotel does not have a an elevator yet it is a multi-floor building. Though they already made that clear in their description, so guests should be aware of this before booking.
