nice rooms with very comfortable beds; excellent location; good breakfast, very good dinner at the Tchaikovsky restaurant (albeit with very mediocre service); beautiful spa;

service was not really up to the standards of a five star hotel (e.g. drinking water not refilled every day; dirty cutlery from the day before not removed from the room during cleaning); most of the staff (with notable exceptions such as the bartenders at the lobby bar who were excellent) was either detached or simply unpleasant; it's certainly not only an issue of cultural differences as we've had excellent service all over the Baltics (including Estonia) except for the Telegraaf

Exquisite and luxurious. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds super comfy. It’s quiet, I always sleep well. One of my favourite hotels ever, I can only recommend. The spa is also very nice. Great massage. I just love the breakfast menu at the restaurant, eggs royale my all time favourite. Breakfast there is a must.

It seemed that we arrived at breakfast when it was rush hour and we felt really crammed at our table. It got better, though, when I asked to move tables apart a bit. Coffee was a bit slow to arrive too, but all in all the breakfast is definitely one of the reasons I chose the hotel. The setting and the menu to order are fabulous. We also had dinner at the restaurant, very nice! At times, waiters/waitresses seem a bit too stiff and nervous, but thats’s just a detail. Relax and smile, please.

The location is perfect, right off the main square. That way noise was limited, yet you're right next to the action. Also being there for a wedding the room provided sufficient space and natural light for getting ready.

There was a sewer smell that came from the drains in the room I had. May be a function of an older city or could be the type of room I get due to booking off the hotel website (or even for one person vs two). Providing info about how to manage that would have been helpful up front if it cannot be avoided.

Located very close to the Christmas market and the city centre. The staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast has loads of great options, and they refilled it, so going later didn't mean you had to miss out. The room had very good facilities, having an iron and a clothes linter on hand was a really great touch for us

For some it might be a negative that the hotel is located in an area where regular taxis can't enter, but you can call a taxi to the nearest allowed point, which is just 100m down the street.

A lovely hotel in the center of Tallinn, excellent location. Within walking distance from the harbor (that is if you don't have a lot of luggage to carry). We had a comfortable, quiet room on the 6th floor and slept well in one of the most comfortable beds in the world. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. As we arrived earlier than the check-in time, our luggage was stored at the hotel while we went for lunch and sightseeing. Breakfast was great, and we found the restaurant very interesting with plenty of old books on the shelf. We would definitely return and stay at the same hotel again.

There was nothing we did not like.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the old town. All the main must-see buildings and landmarks are within a short walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff at the reception is friendly and willing to help.

Breakfast can be very slow. The quality is generally good, but the waiters sometimes took too long to bring food on the table.

Hotel is in a superb old town location. Staff were helpful when needed. Great shower and bath robes even if the latter weigh a ton!

The courtyard facing rooms are a little small compared to the hotel we had in Finland, which was cheaper and in unequally great location. The in room coffee making facilities are not great.

Wonderful, amicable and professional service again by Kristi. She saved the experience after not so pleasant welcoming by another staff member. Great surroundings and history. The final room was perfect with all the details. Breakfast room elegant with good selection. Great location in the old city center just around the corner of the main square.

Spa too crowded - maybe to consider bookable time slots.

We only stayed for sleeping in the room, first time traveling with my husband and visiting Tallinn, sleeping in this hotel was great. After a long warm day, it was honestly very nice coming to a chill room and lay in bed. We slept like princesses! Bonus points for the great staff, would come again!

Coming from Finland I would have loved to have a bidet in the toilet but other than that, it was great.

Extremely helpful staff, lovely well-maintained hotel in an excellent location. Refreshing to sit in an old building that has been well designed to serve as a hotel, with a great spa.

I was only there for one night, and can't say I was unhappy with anything at all. Really enjoyed my stay there.
