My City Hotel

My City Hotel has a fantastic location with accessibility to both the ‘old’ and ‘new’ parts of Tallinn - it is in Tallinn Old Town, and also within walking distance to malls such as Solaris and Viru Kekus. It is also near Freedom Square and a main road with buses, trams and trolley buses. The room is clean, bright, comfortable and spacious. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant’s restaurant, MIX, serves a good spread of food for breakfast and delicious, beautifully plated food for lunch and dinner. The 3-course lunch set, at 18 Euros, is the best deal in town.

This is a small but decent hotel, with a very convenient location in charming Tallinn. During the week days, it's perfectly quiet though can be very noisy at "white" Nordic nights during the weekends. My room and bathroom were fairly spacious and rather convenient. The air conditioning worked well though I regret not being able to regulate it. The WiFi was excellent. The room was clean regularly and all of my requests were satisfied by the reception.

The biggest minus of this hotel pertains to its extremely thin walls. I can perfectly hear almost everything that was happening in the neighbouring room, even though otherwise the room was rather quiet. The outside noise was very strong only during the weekend. The cards to open the room worked at times inconsistently. The breakfast was served in a pleasant room. Yet the choice was rather mediocre and not particularly tasty, especially the coffee left much to be desired, served via a terribly slow machine.

Elegant & charming, very well located and nice cozy restaurant “Max” downstairs as well many great places all around the location. and coffee houses near the square.

sadly the only employee Victoria at late hour checkin and checkout struggled and delayed our checkin. but she rectified the situation gladly as she had cancelled the prepaid reservation as we arrived @4 “people book and don’t show” was the reason for cancelling. thankfully manager sorted it out and Victoria gave me my room key until it was sorted.

The hotel is very close to the center; christmas market, shopping malls, restaurants and ice skating rink. We had a problem in our room and the staff were very helpful and upgraded our room. The room was spacious and with a good view. TV had English channels. We were celebrating an anniversary during our stay, staff prepared a little surprise in our room (champagne and chocolate and a personalised note) which we really appreciated :)

Breakfast was decent, not a lot of options and gets boring after a 5-night stay. We had a street view room and it tends to get a bit noisy in the early hours due to workers shovelling snow and machinery; thankfully the hotel offers noise cancelling ear plugs. Also, it sucks that you have to pay for the use of the spa, usually this is included for free in the price. Wifi is a bit slow as well, and at times we had no connection.

Great location, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see, cozy rooms, helpful reception. Good buffet breakfast with nice selection and reception offered to pack us a breakfast when we needed to leave before it started one day. We rented the sauna for an hour on a very chilly evening which was a fun experience - shower, sauna, jacuzzi, two sun loungers, robes in private room (only wish they would have allowed us to take the robes provided to the room until we checked out) - we were also able to get drinks from the bar next to the sauna to bring in, and then another drink on the way out to bring up to our room. :) Reception called us a cab for a very early morning pick up (when trying to get Uber, was having issues selecting hotel as pickup spot, so taxi is the way to go) which was helpful.

I liked everything about this hotel, especially the nice breakfast in the morning and the friendliness of the staff! This hotel has a huge value ratio for the comfort it gives. Also, I loved looking at the art exposed there and there! I stayed only one night, so this is only based on such short stay.

The only thing that was a tad confusing was the room heating system :-) We came in and it was pretty hot! Heater was not on, and it was bit difficult to get the room fresh without opening the window as I didn't get how to activate the air conditioner ^^'. I didn't ask for help as it was only one night and we finally managed to get it fresh :-) But very confusing :D

Fabulous hotel in a great location in the Old Town. Reception staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and the room we were allocated had the most comfortable bed! The chef in the hotel is first-class and you should definitely try the salmon pancakes and wild boar. There is also a great wine and liqueur menu which should be sampled.

Our entire stay was first-class and couldn't be beaten. However, for y breakfast i do love a runny yolk on my fried egg which is petty but the only improvement I can think of.

We loved our stay at My City Hotel. The location was excellent, right in the Old Town. We were just a few minutes' walk from Kiek in de Kok, Viru gates and the Town Hall Square. Breakfast had a lot of options and we enjoyed the sauna. Reception was very helpful and accommodating. We were able to check in early which was helpful. We were upgraded and found a small gift of chocolates in our room for our anniversary which was a lovely touch.

Nothing! We were really happy with our choice and loved our stay in Tallinn!

Staff were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodated early check-in (1pm) at short notice with no fuss. Lots of variety on offer at breakfast, all delicious. Shower was great and it was handy to have a fridge in the room. Overall the hotel had a modern, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is close to the main sights of the Old Town, with good restaurants in easy walking distance.

The sauna was not available during our stay. Our room was on the top floor so it was very hot and hard to cool down, even with the air-conditioning. Our window faced the building works nextdoor.

Everything is wonderful here. The room is spacious and well fitted with everything you need. The restaurant serves awesome food with beautiful wines and cocktails. The breakfast had a buffet type service and had a great selection of cold and hot food. The location is perfect for the old town, tourist attractions, and transport links. The staff were very good and helpful.
