Bowmont Motel

Had a great stay at the motel for my 4-day work-related visit. The best thing about the stay, other than the nice and comfy room (and nicer views!) was the availability of all basic utensils (mugs, plates, cutlery etc.) in the ensuite kitchenette -- so convenient! The room also included a sitting area I could use as desk and an air conditioner. Being at the conference all day, I loved the quiet and relaxed ambience and spending evening by the pool. The staff were extra nice and helpful and happy to give tips on bussing around the Okanagan valley.

my room's balcony door was stuck shut :/ but I didn't mind much; the windows had sliders for ventilation.

Great facilities like the BBQ area, overall the concept is really fun with the retro vibe. Close to the beach, quiet and the beds are comfortable.

The furniture is very worn out around the pool and in the common area. Pool is great but the concrete liner is coming off in big sharp chunks. The AC units in the rooms do a good job of cooling but they’re ancient and very, very loud at night. Going without AC is absolutely impossible in the Okanagan summer heat. Calls to the office weren’t returned, and we stayed 3 nights without ever getting any housekeeping service which was surprising. I would still stay again, but will come with lower expectations.

The building has good bones and lots of retro character. It is an excellent location for families to access the beach and recreational activities and for everyone to get to the waterfront. The pool looked nice but we never used it. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The area was quiet.

The Bowmont requires lots of upgrading. There were stains in some furniture and the floors could be cleaner. One of our party didn’t like the musty smell in their room and another’s said there were burn marks in the bathroom floor.

The location is fantastic and we had a great room. The pool is a great spot to hang out and relax, the barbeque area is also a great addition. The room was well put together. The owners certainly want everyone to have a good time and will check in with you throughout your stay. They are lots of pool noodles and toys.

Witnessed on several occasions people not staying at the hotel walking in and spending time in the pool with their friends and family. Maybe a gate at the front entrance area to deter people

I love that its close to everything. Very family friendly, cozy and nice place. We love the pool too! Its our first time to stay & we’ll definitely come back.

Staff needs to pay more attention cleaning. Like the window sills, underneath the furnitures & the ceiling fan. It was so filthy thick of dirt & dust, we didn even try turning it on coz we are afraid that the dirt would be everywhere. The fridge handle & the sink faucet is loose too. Other than that, no other complaints.

Really liked the location and atmosphere. So close to all of our favorite things to do, great pool and just so inviting and fun in the courtyard. Staff were absolutely amazing to deal with. Extremely accommodating. Our whole family agrees this will be our go to spot each year! They have lovely BBQ area where people can come together. They had live music on the weekend and such great personal touches by following up.

Our room could have been a bit more clean.

Location was easy to find. We were on business, arrived late and were in communication with staff so we knew how to let ourselves in. When we met the staff, at checkout, they were delightful, friendly. The bed was firm. The decor wasn’t grand but it was very clean. We had beverages in our room when we arrived. They had real glasses, not plastic. That was really appreciated after a long day on the road. I liked that there was a front door and a back door, and the room was spacious.

This is an older motel and the decor is 1950s, 1960s. That’s fine, but still, some things need to be updated. Older decor sometimes looks a bit shabby. Towels were clean but thin and looked worn.

Staff really friendly, helpful and accomodating Prime location - and pretty quiet considering where it's located quite, bed and pillows really comfortable Pool was lovely!

I think the interior is quite tired and dated, but saying that, the room had everything I would have wanted and needed. The AC was quite noisy so I didn't use it (I brought my own quite fan). I noticed in the bathroom, the top of the baseboards could use a cleaning - it had an accumulations of dirt/dust. I'm a tea drinker so there was not kettle. I used a pot to boil water in. I find that hotels/motels seem to revolve around coffee drinkers.

The rooms are a great layout for family. Nice to have a separate room for the kids to sleep in. Pool area is well maintained and a nice place to lounge/swim. and the outdoor BBQ area is beautiful and so nice to be able to use. The staff were very helpful/friendly. Great location. Minutes to walk to the beach.

Rooms are a bit dated but it’s barely a complaint. I found it charming

The pool was fantastic! I did find a marijuana cigarette butt in the bedside drawer though. Perhaps a reminder to the cleaning help to check the drawers. Luckily my family is pretty liberal in regards to marijuana, if we were a different more conservative family it would have been an issue though. Otherwise we intend on coming back!

The bed was too small! But that isn't the hotels fault!
