Safestay Brussels Grand Place

The location is amazing!! Really in the center. We could visit almost everything just with one day staying. It is around a lot of restaurants so we had an amazing food experience!! The entrance is really easy to find and even in the night it feels secure. The guy in the counter was super nice, they offer breakfast and stuff like shampoo cheaper than in the stores. The beds where really good, they have its own lamp, connection and curtain. The bathroom was really nice and clean as well. It has locker for you to put your stuff, standing locker (like in highschool) no those on the floor. You need a lock. The price was the best around. Even if the building is old, it has elevator. A little small but they have!! The Internet was okay.

The key is with an app, which is amazing, but we were always super scared of running out of battery because then we could not get into the room.

Excellent location. The room was very clean, and beds were comfortable. Room has just space to sleep and a locker for your goods, as any youth hostel. Is still family friendly and they book private rooms. The bathroom is brand new and is kept very clean. The shower was excellent. The window has a good view of the street. Room matches the photos provided. The check in should be completed in an app available a day before the arrival and the room key works with an app in your phone.

The entrance is quite narrow so at booking time the entrance was crawled. The walls are quite thin, and you may hear what is happening on the next/above rooms if guests are noisy. They charge 3 euros per unit to keep your luggage until check in time at 3pm. The street may be quite noisy on summer late in the night.

Very clean rooms and bathrooms, right in the centre, ideal place, if I am in Brussels I will stay there again!:) I had a bed in a room with 5 women, I met great girls!!!:) Two beds were bunk beds and mine were single (what a surprise, very comfortable:). At reception nice guy lent me a lock, I didn't have to buy one. Bathroom better than I have at home ;) I love this place and recommend!

Noise from the street at weekends at night, but it does not bother me, it is the very centre of the city, it is not the fault of the hostel that someone shouts in the street.

Location is excellent, in the heart of the center and close to everything you could need. It has bars, shops, supermarkets, restaurants within a 1 min walk. it's 4 min away from the Grand place The staff was very friendly, and helped with everything we needed! The room was very comfortable and the toilette is very spacious. They provided a fan since ACs are not common in Brussels, so ventilation was very good, and the room was very calm so we were able to open the window.

- great location right in the centre of the city, the room itself was facing inside, not out to the busy street so it wasn't usually loud even despite this - staff useful if any problem came up, good budget option for few nights - brought my own lock for the locker, found out after arrival that it was too thick to fit (so bring a thin one!), also personally didn't have problems with the door unlocking app

- the biggest and really only bigger problem was that wifi didn't properly reach my bed, was unable to plan my itinerary from there, quite annoying when you can't sleep and don't want to go down to the lobby - the beds weren't super comfortable and a bit squeaky at times but nothing unexpected for this price range

Amazing stay! Huge and super nice room with bathtube and separate bedroom for parents, kitchen that has everything you can imagine, balcony with a view. Hotel has every facility you can imagine - lobby bar, beach bar, pool bar, private beach, deli, laundry service for guests, gym, spa, sauna area and inner pool are ope untill 22:00 which is super comfortable. And service is beyond really, best team ever! Front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, concierge - super attentive and professional!

The food in Alio and Olio restaurant was not that good and pricy.

I always love a curtain over my bed! And there was an elevator which is always great. Bathroom connected to room instead of down the hall and is a residential-style bathroom so theres plenty of room to get dressed after a shower. The location is awesome - right in the center, minutes walk from la grand place and everything else downtown. I visited in December and it was sandwiched between no fewer than 4 Christmas markets.

The bathrooms definitely left something to be desired - the doors were just big wood slabs 😂 and there were only 2 for the room, which had around 8 beds. This wasn't a problem for me but I could see it being an issue if the room was full. Some of the staff was less friendly than others. Elevator also was extremely slow and the signage in the hostel was confusing- there are 2 stairwells that don't seem to connect to each other and I got lost once lol

The hotel is very well organized. Constant cleaning, availability of elevator also large lockers for things but you need to have your own lock. The hotel was very well located in the center of the city.

I did not like the heating system, I constantly woke up in the morning from the cold. Also, my card for opening the door to the room constantly stopped working and I had to go down and wait until it was set up again to open the door. But overall it's a pretty good place to stay in Bruxelles.

It’s at an amazing location in the city centre. The staff team is kind and attentive to guests and facilities are in good condition The dormitory system so makes it easy to make new friends and meet new people

The check-in time was fixed at 3:00pm. Not considering how far you’ve travelled or how early you came in I had to wait for about 4 hours to check in There should be a way to correct this in the future

I booked a room with my boyfriend which was big enough for the two of us & we had a private bathroom. Beds are bunks but we did not expect fancy bed in a hostel either. The localition is amazing, straight in the center of Brussels and you are in walking distance to all main attractions, as well as resturants and bars. Employees are very nice and helpful. The hostel also allows you to store your luggage there for a small fee which is quite conviniente when you have morning checkouts & you still want to explore the city a bit more.

If I would have to complain about anything is that there isn't any table or chairs in the room, which for many reasons are indispensible. Also there could be better sheets to cover yourself, but as we travelled during the summer not sure if the ones we got are the standard ones or not.
