A great hotel with good old fashioned pub qualities

The staff. Restaurant staff in particular are over zealous with their interaction. We were dining together just 2. We were constantly interrupted by staff. Not only enquiring if everything was OK, which it was. But continually trying to join in conversation. At one stage I had to openly ignore a staff member that would not take the hint and leave us to ourselves. Even going so far as to star into discussions about herself and what she did and didn't like....... about everything. Even after being asked politely to leave us she returned until I became rude.

I liked that the reception/room was very modern and nicely decorated, breakfast room service was great and the reception staff were friendly/approachable. Having more secure parking seperate to the restaurant/bar parking area was also a plus.

the laundry facilities could do with an update, the car park lift was abit jolty at times - one point making me think it had broken down for a few seconds and also I think some things needed more explanation. I.e. it doesnt say on the room service breakfast order form how you pay for it, and for someone who hasnt stayed in a hotel as the only adult before (like myself)- that information isnt obvious. Same with how you have to put the door card into a slot next to the door for the room power to work, there was no signs stating this and so I had to ring reception to ask how to get the power to work. More/bigger towels would also be better than what is currently provided.

Loved the bed and pillows. Very comfy. Location suited us to visit family. Liked the live music too.

The dust in bathroom and on shelves in room that housed the coffee cups and tea cups. I wrote clean me in the thick layer of dust on shelf. Kitchen staff forgot lots 2 out of 3 room service orders. First mornings breakfast they forgot to cook my husbands breakfast. Dinner order they forgot cutlery, salt and pepper and a breakfast menu we specifically asked for. Thank goodness our second mornings breakfast was delivered without an issue.

The photos really don’t do it justice. Spacious and very clean room! The pub on the opposite site had great food and an amazing vibe! They have parking for oversized vehicles! Massive positive for us! 2.6m locked undercover car park.

The listing said there was a Washer and Dryer in the room and there wasn’t. There was washer and dryer facilities on the premises though (but needed maintenance- couldn’t get the washing machine to work and was advised to bang on the machine).

Very good facilities, daily events, karaoke night was a blast, the room was very big, the beds were super comfortable and the pillows were great, a nice big tv in the room, plenty of charging points. Restaurant was so good, we ended up eating there multiple times. Friendly staff and great house keeping service.

Needs a fan in bathroom, Dusting in room on tables.

The breakfast was very good, excellent value for money. The room was very good, comfortable clean bed. Staff was very friendly and professional.

Construction going on next to the overnight car park, loose items in the client park that I had to dodge to be able to retrieve luggage from my car. I understand it's a temporary situation but likely needs attention. For the overall quality of the place and services available, the room bar fridge could have been better stocked. I've paid half of what I paid for a room in other hotels across BNE, that had a well-stocked fridge.

* Thick layer of dust on surfaces * Lots of Oreo cookies under the bed (cleaner missed those) * Grime marks left underneath the air con remote holder on wall. * Need more security around the back like security screens. * Found it hard to see room numbers arriving at night. They need to be bigger & reflect the car headlights. * sliding screen door is bit old and tacky. Pretty sure it doesnt even lock. Dont feel safe as a single woman with that old screen. * Broken wood bed head. * Lack of cooking facilities. A toaster and microwave would be nice? * No bathtub.

Good size room in a quiet location.

Cobwebs on the ceiling. The room was just clean enough to not feel grotty but there is room for improvement. Please train the restaurant staff about food allergies. I am coeliac and was not confident the staff understood my requirements. We ate in the restaurant several times with the same blaze/don't know answers from staff.

The location of the property was perfect, we had a wedding at Sirromet winery, so quite close. The rooms were ready early for us to shower and change in for the wedding at 3pm, which was awesome. Food down in dining room/Cafe was beautiful we had lunch there and the next morning after our big night we had a delicious breakfast. Overall, we knew we had it the jackpot for our accommodation and will happily return again in future. Everything was super clean, staff all very nice, highly recommend, great place to stay.

The room was large and comfortable. The parking was spacious and easy access was provided to the room. We tried the bar and played pool and it was fun. We also ordered breakfast at the room and it was fresh and plentiful - we loved it! the staff were always helpful and friendly. The price was so good for such a great place!

We got confused trying to work out how to get to reception from our room after arriving via the car park, so ended up going out via the car park. Then later had to ask for the staff to show us how to return to our room from reception. They were only minor things and did not affect our enjoyment of the stay.
