Carlisle Inn Sarasota

Unbelievably clean room. Absolutely the cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in, including small details like spotless mirrors, shower doors & even windows. And they offer complete maid service every day! Everything on the property grounds (both inside & out) is clean, neat, organized & in its’ proper place at all times. Abundant parking & well-manicured lots. A nice pool & patio area, again very well maintained. The staff was magnificent. Truly one of the best staffed hotels ever. Everyone, including housekeeping & breakfast, was wonderful. This hotel most definitely deserves the high rating it garners.

Although not directly in the control of the hotel, we found the adjacent restaurant to have sub-standard food. The dinner buffet was institutional cafeteria inspired bland fare. Not worth it at all, and sadly, was also the hotels’ source for room service.

Breakfast was good. The donuts and banana nut bread is amazing! I wish the menu thats posted for breakfast lined with what was served but it was good. Coffee is delicious too! The cleanliness of the hotel is amazing! It smells super clean. It can be overwhelming at times though.

Outdoor pool and hot tub. While I love it during a beautiful day. We had a rainy day and it would have been nice to have an indoor pool. Also some of the breakfast foods that were suppose to be there wasn’t. I understand menus change but it would be nice to keep their postings updated with what’s being served. Also the beds are hard as a rock! I didn’t ask for anything to make it softer so that’s on me.

This was our second time staying here. I won't ever want to stay any where else. This place is beautiful and exceptionally clean, you can literally eat off the floor. The restaurant and gift shop is like a way nicer version of cracker barrel. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Idk what air freshener they use but it immediately relaxes you. It smells divine. I wish there were more of these hotels but this is the only one. The other 3 are in Ohio. I can't say enough good things about this place. Will forever be a loyal guest. I tell everyone I know about this place and now my parents are booking a room for next month. We love it here.

This place is perfection.

The breakfast was delicious, however, pretty much boring with the same foods for all week. I love the fact that breakfast was until 10:30am. Always had coffee ready and choices for creamers, loved that! Comfortable seating. Plus, yummy cookies available from 4pm till 8pm for everyone in the breakfast room. The Carlisle is a beautiful area, safe and biking/walking non motorized trails. How great was that they were next the Carlisle Inn! 5 - 10 minutes from downtown Sarasota. Lots to do and see in the area. The heated pool was kept up and lots of lounge chairs to use. The whole Inn was laid out very well with customers being well taken care of. Our room on the top floor was so very quiet, never heard anyone or any noise from any of the neighbors. The only drawback for us, was it was $$$$. So this cause only would I give thought about returning.

The hotel is beautiful, well maintained. I wanted to send my sincere appreciation to the front desk staff. There were super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. I've received an outstanding service! Our room was very clean and spacious with nice size of kitchen and kitchenette in it which we used all the time during our stay. Our 2 queen size beds was very comfortable. The hotel offers a good selection of breakfast. As a bonus - cookies in the afternoon! In a couple of words - nice, clean, comfortable and safe place to stay at! Love it!!! A HUGE THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Excellent!

We have been staying at the hotel since it first opened. We have stayed numerous times as we love it so much. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is always great. We love the fact that coffee is available all day and freshly baked cookies are available everyday around 4pm. They also always try to accommodate our request if we ask for an early check in or late check out which is greatly appreciated. We will continue to stay at the Carlisle Inn as we love is so much.

There are no negative comments to make. Everything is wonderful.

Very nice and clean hotel! Beautiful piano music playing. Very Comfortable bed. Breakfast had many choices, and people who served the breakfast were super kind. Fresh towels every day. Plenty of parking. Complimentary water, 2 bottles a day. Nicest restaurant Der Dutchman right by the hotel.

Nothing really. Maybe one small suggestion to have another option for breakfast instead of scrambled eggs sometimes. Maybe one day scrambled eggs, another day something else, some places cook potatoes… just an idea.

The room was very clean and comfortable; loved the closet/dressing area, which was a separate room with a sink. Breakfast area and breakfast were great, delicious assortment of hot items, bread and bakery items. Pool was very nice; very clean and lots of places to sit. Very friendly/pleasant staff, from the staff in the kitchen and hallways up to the managers.

This is a bit silly, but both my husband and I did not like the oatmeal hand soap in the bathroom. It smelled terrible! The card for desired room cleaning could have been clearer. Example: please keep towels/bedding but clean room. We were certainly fine with using the same sheets/towels during our stay.

This is a very impressive hotel as we arrived at the parking lot. There was plenty of parking available when we arrived, and there were luggage carts available. Check in was very straightforward, and the staff were very attentive. They explained the facilities available, including that there was complimentary cookies at 16:00 in the breakfast room - yummy. The room was spacious with very comfortable bed linen and pillows and very tastefully decorated - even with shutter blinds. Having a separate lounge area was very helpful, as was the table and chairs. There was a separate luggage room/wardrobe that also had a hand basin and fridge in it which was a bonus. The bathroom was well stocked with good quality toiletries. The corridors were the largest we've ever seen in a hotel So wide there were sofas and armchairs. All staff were polite and courteous, and everyone we came into contact with asked if we had everything we needed or was there something they could help us with. The breakfast was great, and some of the items were made/produced by the restaurant next door (i.e. granola). There wasn't an on-site restaurant, but Der Dutchmann was literally next door. There was a lot of choice in this restaurant. We loved our stay here, and are already planning our next vacation to return!

We would prefer a bedside table on each side of the bed (not just one).

Breakfast was adequate no frills but delicious. The location is perfect everything is around 20 mins away so very central. The staff were so friendly and kind nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was lovely clean with plenty of sun loungers and towels available. The hotel is wonderful the rooms are very spacious clean and comfortable and the hallways are splendid so wide and luxurious.

I will struggle to find anything to be honest but just to be picky there was no soy or oat milk at breakfast which would have helped as a preference.
