Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch

Clean hotel and loved the smell walking thru the lobby. Staff was always friendly. Great location near shopping and restaurants and close to I75. Good sized gym. Overall it is a very nice hotel in a very nice area. I think we would stay here again but would get two rooms so my son wouldn't have to sleep on the pull out couch.

The queen bed in our suite was not as comfortable as I would like it to be. Almost felt like the springs were too close to the surface of the mattress. My husband had no issues with his bed. Our 23 yr old son slept on the pull out couch which he tolerated. I would say maybe it would be fine for a smaller person/child, but not for a full sized adult. On one of the days I visited the gym, one of the treadmills was not operational so I was unable to do my run since the other treadmill was in use by another guest. One suggestion would be to have some sort of pocket door to separate the sink area from the bedroom. I would get up before my husband in the mornings to go do my workout but having no door was made it difficult not to wake him up.

Aleyda the manager was very nice, professional and helpful with a booking problem from Booking.com. She seems to relate well to all her customers and staff alike! Nancy and Maria at the front desk were always very pleasant and helpful also. Hotel is located very conveniently to stores, restaurants and walking paths! Over all a lovely hotel in a beautiful area.

Pool area is showing some needed maintenance. Really missed the cushions on the metal loungers. Wasn't happy to see dogs and smoking in the pool area. Breakfast choices were sub par. C. At the front desk was snooty and unprofessional.

We loved the look and feel of the hotel and loved the location. Close to fun stores and restaurants and not from from Siesta Key. Loved the breakfast and happy hour on Wednesday. Those were nice perks of staying in the hotel. Loved the pool and BBQ area.

I was very upset when I first walked in as the staff member couldn't find my reservation. Booking had entered my first name as my last name and vice versa. And also when I originally booked it was for a suite, which I paid more for, and then when it was placed - the studio suite was reserved. This was extremely misleading and we weren't able to get the room switched. Therefore, our teenage daughter and my husband and I had no privacy. Not ideal. And the staff here didn't really care to help - blaming it all on the third party booking.com. That infuriated me also - they should support the third party booking agents or not use them at all. Probably won't use booking.com again.

The location is incredible, so much to do within walking distance. Nearly everything you’d need and lots of options for dining. The kitchen in the room is fully stocked with all the dish ware you need.

The pillows are WAY to soft. It was basically like sleeping directly on the mattress, except more uncomfortable. Hand/dish soap in the kitchen would be nice, and more than one dishwasher tab since there’s no soap. Also, I wish there was a hot tub, nothing to do with not liking it, just would have made it better haha!

Overall the hotel met our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable. Kids and family friendly. Very quiet at night.

I believe it was more than 5 mi from city center ( I'm saying it only because it's posted as 5 mi), and traffic included it takes 15-20 minutes to reach it. Also ( not related to the hotel), please make sure you plan ahead for your dinner . We thought that considering being a tourist area, finding places where to eat after 8:30-9 close to the hotel, would have been easy. It wasn't! The only place closing @ 10pm, was the "Ford Garge", located adjacent to the hotel.

Well designed and attractive, delicious and varied breakfast, outdoor area comfortable and welcoming, pool area clean, good fitness space, large comfortable room with comfortable beds and good quality linens. The Lakewood Ranch area is new and away from the center of Sarasota, but we found it had everything we needed.

Tv remotes were terrible-- didn't respond to touch, couldn't adjust volume or turn on closed captioning. Common area cleanliness was spotty.

Everything felt like a real vacation!! Definitely will be coming back soon!! Best Hotel we ever stayed in!! 20/10 super clean, friendly staff, smelled amazing! Rooms were spacious, free parking, rooms were cleaned daily, loved the treats that were complimentary daily also amazing breakfast!

Super clean. Beautiful modern design. Nice cute room layout with full kitchen. large master bedroom.

Mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were flat. 2 queen beds should be 2 king beds. no bar or dinner options. No blackout curtains just wood shutter blinds that allow light so seep in.

The facility was clean and smelled fresh the entire stay. Housekeeping was amazing; I made sure to leave a good tip. The front desk staff was helpful and professional.

The hot water took forever to heat. Breakfast was okay. I think adding boiled eggs for people who don’t prefer powdered eggs.
