Hampton Inn & Suites Sarasota / Bradenton - Airport

The breakfast was the typical hotel free breakfast which is fine and will do if you are interested in saving a little money from eating out. Provided was cereal, muffins, juice, bread, items, like raisin bread, English muffins, bagels, loaf bread, waffle iron to make your own waffles, yogurt, and some type of eggs, meat, potatoes, and sometimes gravy and biscuits. The potatoes usually looked uncooked when actually they were just not browned in the skillet. But they did serve another variety of diced potatoes on other days, so the hot food alternated. Of course they have coffees and teas all day and at night I was able to get a couple chocolate chip cookies at the front desk! I stayed in Sarasota by the airport and Drew at the front desk was always great. Very helpful and very friendly and just made it a pleasure being there. Thank you, Drew! And even though it’s right there at the airport, aircraft never once disturbed my sleep!

I can’t think of anything I did not like, except possibly that my mattress seemed like it could be replaced. But it wasn’t horrible. I have back issues so it’s always a tossup when I stay in hotels.

The day time shuttle driver . Rude, unprofessional. There was a gentleman that did yell at me because I wedged the exit door open while I was trying to carry a very large box of laundry ( there’s no dry cleaning service). I first asked him to assist me politely. .. as he saw me struggling.. he was so mad I put a rug by the door so I could safely walk out ( as I promised him I’d put the rug back promptly) he had the nerve to threaten me with security. I was so appalled that I left a message with the General Manager. Still waiting on a return call. Also the freezer where you can get a small bite to heat up .. has been broken for at least 3 weeks, nobody seems to want it fixed as far as ownership or management.

Our accomodations were exceptional! I had originally booked the room for my mom and her husband to go to, to evacuate from the impending Hurricane Ian that was making it's way and projected to hit a bit south of Sarasota. I thought they would be safe and comfortable there, little did I know that we would ALL, my children and granddaughters, have to evacuate our homes that are located in Port Charlotte and Venice. We all crammed in together in the same room so we would all be together and safe. By the time we had finished packing, there were no rooms left to get an additional room at any hotel on the west coast of FL. I had to extend our stay multiple times throughout our time there, that wound up being 2 weeks due to damage at all of our homes and no electricity. I can't say enough about the friendly staff, Arielle, Ryan, Raquel? ( I think that's what her name is) and everyone else that helped us during this time. I am so grateful I chose this hotel. I would book it again if the need arises or if it doesn't, I would still stay there!

There was a loud party going on in one of the conference rooms a Saturday night and each Sunday there was a very loud church service. Other than those 2 things, it was a great stay under the circumstances. Thank you all again!

They did serve a complimentary hot breakfast, but kind of the same foods every day. We though the pool area was nice and clean. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The fresh fruit bowl and coffee in the lobby 24/7 was an unexpected treat!

The staff closed the breakfast a few minutes early on a few mornings of our stay. We are aware of the time limits, but we did see people turned away, and felt bad for them. Closing breakfast at 5 till the hour or so is not cool.

The room was great and the bed comfortable. However, there was a strong smell of bleach in the sheets that I was conscious of all night long. We think the shower was difficult to find the right temperature without going in and out of cold or hot, and the water pressure was a bit weak.Other than that, it was a comfortable room. The price was a little more than we prefer to spend, but I guess for the area it was the best we could do.

Everyone including the front desk housekeeping, and the ladies and gentlemen running the breakfast bar were so fantastic and so sweet and accommodating during my transition of waiting for my rental to open up it was a little bit of a journey and they’ve been so sweet. I’m so grateful for them they’ve been so kind, I will always recommend this property. Thank you so much.

There’s nothing about this property that I could complain about

I liked my privacy, which is well respected I work nights and sleep during the day and nobody bother me except one time the front desk has been amazing. I just wish there was more food to eat then just breakfast.

I did not like the  gentleman that drove the bus the shuttle bus he had a very unprofessional attitude I think he does not like his job and if that’s the case he should retire

Clean, comfortable, close to airport

I was told there was a 24/7 shuttle to airport that I did not have to reserve. When I got to hotel I was told the shuttle ran limited hours and since I was leaving early the hotel would get me a Lyft. The driver came but I did not know how to ID him. He took other people ahead of me and returned for me 10-15 minutes later than I'd reserved. It made me uncomfortable. He did return from taking the other people and he was nice but I felt uneasy not knowing the ID of who was driving me and the fact that it was later than I'd specified.

Good location very close to the airport and Ringling museum. Well maintained and clean. Rooms are bright and not worn out. You can hear airplanes starting and landing. But it seems there are no late or night flights as we never had issues with planes disturbing us.

They started to serve the normal type of breakfast where you can pick up stuff by yourself (instead of getting a prepackaged bag). But the selection is very limited and such breakfast almost doesn’t make sense. It was visible that other guests were also disappointed.

We needed a place near the airport with a shuttle, so the Hampton fit the bill perfectly for that, and the rate was friendly.

We were there without transportation, so dinner choices were limited. The receptionist recommended Rico's for delivery, and that was a good decision. Also, the room doesn't get dark, so the parking lot lights were in my face all night and I didn't sleep well (which was a shame, because the beds are wonderful)
