Hula Hula Resort, Ao Nang -SHA Extra Plus

Superb service from all staff, treated very well on arrival. Rooms were really spacious and clean, overlooking the greenery at the back of the hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the free shuttle to and from the town was convenient.

Check in at the start was unnecessarily difficult, making us wait until 2pm to access our room, alongside all other guests who had arrived just a little early. It felt a little tedious and that they were making us wait for the sake of it.

We extended our stay for 3 nights, most already said in the first review. Friendly, very helpful, and professional staff at the reception during check-in and whenever you need them. Free pool towels, cool choice of trips to the local sights, and a free hotel shuttle to Aonang Nightmarket, Beach, Walking Street,... (6 times daily for free). Great pool, cocktails, food, and ice cream at the pool, cheap room service. We've had our breakfast brought to the room and ate on the balcony between banana palm trees and flowers. Great value for so little money! By the way: booking directly at the hotel costs nearly double the price as via booking(dot)com. We asked for 3 nights more and they told us we should just use booking and then we could stay in the same room.

The place is generally clean, but it could be a bit better maintained. Things like old partially ripped towels with stains, loose faucets, crackling light switches... But that's no reason for not coming back. Breakfast in the restaurant/ restaurant in general: 6 out of 10, see my other review.

Toilet - amazing. Location - quiet, family friendly, conservative and away from honey moon couples. Facilities - awesome. It was even more impressive knowing that it survived through the pandemic hell. When we were there, the hotel was booked out. The only downside was their inability to give us 2 check in cards (electricity and entrance) as people often took it as souvenir or lost it. Otherwise, I would rebook with them!

There is an elderly receptionist that may have had a bad day when we arrived. She wasn't as friendly but overall, the experience was pretty sleek.

Could use a bit of paint to spruce it up as it looks a little dated but it was nice. Lots of greenery which was lovely

The breakfast could have been much better. There was Nescafé for coffee and as coffee lovers we expected to get a decent coffee however would of had to pay extra for it. There were flies on the pastries which were sent very nice and they could of had a better selection in general

Amazing resort, about 10 min walk from main strip. Staff were amazing from start to finish, checking each day if we needed anything in the room, the room had everything you needed and the balcony with an amazing view. The pool was great too. Would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Ao Nang.

Can be a bit of a dangerous walk back from the strip if you don’t know the area so be careful. Also pool bar wasn’t opened which was a bit disappointing but very minor things.

Good hotel, clean, good location (5 minutes by car from Ao Nang). The room was big, modern and clean.

Only downside was than one day there was no power at the hotel (nor the whole Krabi). It seemed like it was arranged for the whole city, but we stayed with no power or a place to charge our phones from morning till 4pm. Also, the pool had a but mold to some places here and there, maybe it needs a good clean. Not so many options in breakfast. I will visit Krabi again, but we'll stay only at Poonsiri this time :)

The staff were always helpful and quick to respond to requests. The room was spacious with a patio and steps directly into a large pool with waterfall and a pool bar. A shuttle service to drop you anywhere in town and pick you up at a booked time was very convenient. The onsite massage service was wonderful and extremely relaxing. The location was fantastic being tucked away from the busy town traffic, but close enough that everything was easily accessible. There were so many things to do and see here you could easily spend a few weeks. There was such a wide variety of restaurants you could easily choose a different cultural cuisine every night. Our favourite thing here was visiting the Bor Thor village where we kayaked through river caves and the mangroves with the locals, then spent the afternoon dining on traditional village cuisine. The people of Bor Thor were so welcoming and inviting we quickly felt like part of the community. I highly recommend a visit.

Not a dislike, but this could easily a quickly jump from being a very good place to stay to a superb place to stay by being a little more attentive toward cleanliness/maintenance, managing rowdy guests better, and anticipating the needs of guest before they have to ask. Those one percenters that make you feel special.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything worked fine with them. Rooms are okey. Bed was more comfortable than usually. There is no door between shower and toilet which causes water at floor. They changed chairs in every balcony which was nice.

There was no warm water at first in rooms. In the middle of our stay they did renovations to rooms and you can have warm water now. Water pressure is still low.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The pool area was amazing and the facilities in general were excellent. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Overall an excellent stay.

It is a bit far from the main strip of Ao Nang but thankfully there are free shuttles every two hours from reception which was great.

Great hotel and super affordable! It’s clean, the staff is nice and the pool is amazing.

Unfortunately they sell olifant riding tours what really disappointed us. They also have a bird in a cage next to the reception… That really made us sad, the essence of a bird is to fly and they deprive that.
