S2 Residence

Exceptional value for money. The staff were the kindest we have met so far! One night on our journey home we were caught in a thunderstorm and arrived soaking wet- to which the staff very quickly ran to get us dry towels to take to our rooms. Free bottles of water were always available from reception, and placed in our rooms after each clean. Hotel was incredibly clean, and the rooms were so modern and spacious. The pool was also a wonderful touch to our stay. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to anybody, and I would give it more stars if I could!

The only thing we could even find to dislike about our stay, was there was a slight cracked gap around the perimeter of our window (room 202) meaning noise from the outside was rather unsheltered. Every morning we were woken up at 5am by the mosque microphone, however this only lasted roughly 30 minutes and we always fell back to sleep afterwards. And I’m sure if we had pointed this out to the staff, they would have accommodated us in another way- however the hotel was such brilliant value for money that it was such an insignificant issue we could easily overlook.

The staff at S2 Residence are so kind and they made my stay very comfortable. I loved how friendly they were and was so nice to see them every morning. The bed was comfy, room was clean, other guests were very quiet and respectful. Location was okay - it's about a 25 minute walk into Ao Nang along a main road. Take caution when walking and taxis can be hard to find. The hotel is right next to a mosque and the call to prayers are very loud, starting very early (4am) so maybe not the best location for light sleepers. In summary, it was an amazing stay and I would stay again (but with ear plugs, haha).

We loved our stay here! We originally booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 6. The hotel is so modern and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful and they always asked whether wanted our room cleaned or not or needed any water, coffee or anything else if we didn’t need it cleaned. The pool area is small but so well kept. The location is 2 minutes from a 7/11 and another shop and also lots of small restaurants. There is an amazing night market on every night a 10 minute walk away. Centre of Ao Nang is a 25 minute walk away and a tuktuk back cost us 50Baht per person.

The ladies on reception are AMAZING. Always there to greet you with the biggest smile and so helpful to us, they really went above and beyond during our stay helping us with laundry and booking onward travel. Then they completely blew me away when I forgot an item in my room and they were able to send it to me in Phi Phi island. The staff make this place a brilliant place to stay.

Location is a bit far from the busy area but that is the only negative I have!

Friendly and helpful staff who always had a smile. The room was very modern and clean. Wiff worked very well. Staff cleaned our room daily and provided water and coffee. The room was very good value for money.

It is a little way out of the main area in Ao Nang so would take us about 30 minutes to walk there. We did take a taxi on a couple of occasions which was between 100-150 baht and didn't take long so we would recommend that if your not used to walking much.

The room was large, fabulously clean and the hotel feels very very safe. The pool is a perfect size and filter+clean, and they give you pool towels. The room is more than worth the cost, as the staff are fantastic help, even getting up at 4:45am to wave us off in a taxi. we extended our stay because we loved it so much.

it is just slightly too far from the beach, but this was not an issue for us at all.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. Daily housekeeping always did a great job. The staff was super friendly and helpful - always looking to make your stay better! Laundry service is offered for 70baht. The pool area is great and clean. Great restaurant near by (Madina) and 711 is a 5min walk away.

You can hear singing/prayers coming from the Mosque close by, which was a bit unexpected at 4am.

Everything was spotless! The staff were perfect so friendly and helpful. Pool was lovely, felt really private and clean. Rooms were spacious and really nice. WiFi excellent. Hot water (a huge plus!!!). We loved our stay here.

Only thing is the location is a little bit out the way - would be perfect if you rented a bike but we didn’t. Not the property’s fault though, they were perfect to us!❤️

Great value, lovely pool, modern and clean building. Big room. Able to easily arrange another night and moved in to a different room. Staff lovely and very helpful when organising travel to Railay and on to Ko Lanta, contacted boat company directly and confirmed free shuttle.

Random location, hard to pick up a tuk tuk in to ao nang but staff happy to call one. Expensive to get ro and from ao nang

Lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff. Everything was very clean and the swimming pool is a great place to relax. The location was great for us, since we liked that we didn't stay in the overcrowded tourist spot. It's a 15 to 20 minutes walk to the night market and the beach, but if you rent a motorbike it's just a few minutes.

Nothing, we highly recommend this hotel.
