Loma Place

absolutely everything! the individual lodges are sleek and comfortable with ample outside space to lounge. the bathroom is huge. everything super clean and the hosts are simply THE BEST!

From the moment I booked this stay was perfect for me. Loma communicated very well before I arrived and picked me up from the pier. It was clear he wanted nothing more than to make my stay as comfortable as possible. He offered to take me anywhere i wanted to go (beach, market, restaurant etc) but I opted for a scooter and rented this from his sister at the market price which was great! If you want a base in Ao Nang while you are out island hopping, day trips or a night before or after you arrive from airport this is perfect. The bed is probably the comfiest I have slept in Asia for a while... I had a great night sleep. The shower is great and so is the aircon. Loma, makes sure you are topped up with water and anything you need he responds almost immediately. There is also a great little Thai place to eat very close which serves excellent food at a great price. It really is excellent value for money. OK if you want to lounge around a pool at your hotel and chill, maybe it isn't for you..but if you want to get out and about etc and have a base, I would definitely recommend Lomas Place. Lomas place is at the Nopparat beach end of Ao Nang so you will need transport (Loma will take you) to get to Ao Nang beach. However, I preferred Nopparat beach at the far end , it is quiet and great for swimming and a more local Thai feel vs Ao Nang beach. Everywhere is so accessible it is easy to get around.

We enjoyed our stay in Loma Place very much. The lovely place is runned by Mit and his wife. Mit, the owner, was the best person we could have encoutered in Thailand, his kindness and availability were far greater than we could have expected. Mit offered himself to drive us to the Town back and forth whenever we needed, avoiding us a 20 minute walk. Mit also arranged for us, at honest fares, 2 days of tours, by sea and on land. His advices on places to eat were priceless! We higlhy recommend everyone to stay at Loma, you’ll find a great place and meet a great guy!

Mit, the owner of the hotel is the friendliest person I have ever met. He even offered to drive us to the beach eveyday and pick us up, in order for us to save money. He went out of his way to be able to fulfill our request. I have never been treated better in my entire life. The room had everything we needed and was so clean and comfortable. I felt very at home there. To anyone who reads this review you will not regret staying here.

I only stayed for two nights and that was my biggest mistake. I wish I would’ve stayed longer.

Slightly out of town so quiet in the evenings, which suited us. Bed nice and soft - some of the beds we have slept on in Thailand have been pretty solid lol... 7/11 just round corner for supplies. Mit was amazing, so friendly, and took us into town/picked us whenever we wanted in his motorcycle tuk tuk (either the Lamborghini or when that was busy we got the Ferrari 😜). One evening we walked back and it is only 20mins to walk so not too far. We have spent 3 weeks in Thailand and this was quite honestly my favourite place so far. I cannot recommend it enough!!

No privacy in the room we were in when the curtains are open is the only complaint we had, it other than that was 100%% spot on.

The room is cosy with a comfortable bed, well-functioning aircon and also a good showerhead, and a little terrace in front. The location is outside the centre and very quiet, but only about 20 minutes by foot from the night market. The owner, Mit, is a lovely man and insisted on giving us lifts with his tuk tuk for free whenever we wanted, including to get less expensive boat tickets to Railay, and would gladly have picked us up in the evening if we’d asked. Excellent value.

By far the nicest person we have met. The best bed EVER! Exceded our expectations in every way possible. He picked us up from the pier, brought us to the night market all for free and helped us with everything from bike rental, to doing our laundry (which you can do for 20 baht per machine), to letting us stay longer and even when we wanted to stay longer a second time but it was sadly already booked he brought us to our next stay. He was so nice and made us feel so welcome... it really felt like a second home for us :)

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in a hotel in Thailand, I've been in the most expensive hotels in the world, and even a 5-star hotel doesn't have such a comfortable bed, it's like you're lying on clouds, only after you fall asleep at night on this bed with the blue lighting, you realize in the morning that you're just not Want to get out of bed, this will be the best sleep you've had in Thailand, and the owner's attitude is also outstanding

Mit was an excellent host anywhere you wanted to go he took you for free There was a real big downpour one day and he came looking for me to make sure I was ok and didn't get too wet Would go back to the rooms at night to watch football and he would go to the 7/11 to buy 🍺and snacks All my trips were booked with Mit for a good price Wish I could have stayed longer If your going to Ao Nang and want to be looked after stay here

The comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Just what I needed after the hard mattress of thailand!! The staff can't do enough to help you and make your stay comfortable. They are so friendly and helpful and instantly made you feel like part of their family.

Location a little bit out but that is the only negative I can think of. That's not even a problem as the staff will drive you anywhere you want to go before 10pm anyway. Amazing.
