Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne

Close to water front, upmarket, nice rooms, 12:00 check-out.

Parking was full. We had to look for a spot elsewhere. Price of breakfast ensanly high. 35CHF per person is 140 CHF for a family of 4 (?). We went to the Migros next door and had breakfast outside next to the water. Bed too soft on outsides. When you sleep close to the outside you feel you could fall out. Water pressure in shower was very low and water not as warm as should be. Empty mini-bars are a missed opportunity.

The location is premium at the heart of the gorgeous Ouchy promenade, with metro and Migros next door. The latter saves lots of cash on food. (Dining is uniformly expensive across Lausanne, so the restaurants are for tourists only.) The rooms are spacious, well equipped and cleaned on a daily basis by default. (No need to chase the admin!) The beds are wide and provide a good support (to my troubled back).

I would have loved an AC (though the rooms are naturally cool in the evening). And a faster WiFi. Neither critical to my decision to come back.

Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast was awesome!! We had a nice surprise when they gave us a free metro/bus pass for the length of our stay. The metro is next door and took us in the center of Lausanne in no time where all the great shops and restaurants are 😊 Every morning we took our walk along le quai d’Ouchy with view on the Alps. Just gorgeous! Also the Migros grocery store is conveniently next door. So much to do around there. Don’t forget to visit the Olympic museum 😊♥️

Nothing comes to mind. We had a wonderful stay. Will come back.

Location of the hotel is fantastic with a view to Lac Léman! We asked for an upgrade to a room with lake view, and this was quite a good decision. Hotel is close to Metro station, public buses are within easy reach. Breakfast was perfect, staff was friendly, our room was clean. It was lovely to take a refreshing walk every morning by the lake while listening to the birds sing. I'd love to stay there next time.

We didn't have any incidents except for one morning when the restaurant was full with a business group. I assume some of the staff was overloaded and tired then. Other than this, everything was well.

Our main concern were quiet rooms and we were provided quiet rooms facing large trees. The location was both beautiful and extremely convenient. The hotel is facing Lake Geneva with access to swimming, boat rides, restaurants, grocery store at foot of hotel, money exchange, etc.. Metro to old town and Lausanne Gare was minutes from the hotel (free pass from Switzerland & issued by the hotel). The hotel amenities were good. Nespresso machine provided for that first cup of coffee in the morning. Much needed iron was in the room for the wedding event we were attending. Cleaning staff were very attentive. Very convenient stay that exceeded my expectations.

The location, of course. We chose this hotel b/c we like the Ouchy area by the lake though it is too pricey. The room was as we requested, and the beds were comfy with warm blankets. Being located next to a MIGROS also helps.

The breakfast at 36 a person is too pricey even for the Ouchy area. So we did not try since we could find something for much less. And when we asked for ice cubes for our soft drinks, they said they did not have enough to give away. In most hotels at the same price rate, it should be included in basic services.

Great location on the lake with lovely views. I took a boat to Lausanne from Geneva and it arrived right in front of the hotel so super convenient. Its also right near the metro with a line into the centre and main station. I came to Lausanne to watch the Tour de France and was very happy that the hotel was right on the route so I could watch from right by the front doors.I was also pretty happy to then find that 3 of the race teams were staying in the hotel - however this was quite disruptive and can imagine for non cycling fans could have been a bit annoying to find bikes everywhere (and mattresses! The riders must bring their own!)

My room was not a great location, right by the lift on the first floor and above the main hotel front door. The staff were OK but not super welcoming. Fairly dated rooms but comfortable. As mentioned very busy with the Tour so not as peaceful as it probably would usually be.

The hotel is very well situated, a few steps from metro station. There is a well stocked supermarket nextdoors. Reception staff was very nice. I had a room with a view over the lake, spectacular. Room was spacious, clean, bed comfortable.

I have two comments: 1) the breakfast was poor. It may be because the hotel was half empty during my stay but still. Some more fruit and fresh vegetables would be good. In general the selection wasn´t the best. 2) Although I am in favour of big soap containers instead of small ones, the cleaning person has not noticed the one above my bathtub was empty for 2 days.

the staff if very helpful and kind, hotel location is next to the lake which is very nice, less than 1min walk you have the Ouchy Port , the Metro and the Bus line, which is very Conveniunt to go everywhere. just on the night when Luna Park has event or concert then it is a bit noisy for the lake view room.

the breakfast is very rich, but it would be better to seprate the FIT breakfast and the Group breakfast

Everything was amazing! Perfect lake view, perfect lights, perfect slabs/space to put the luggage.

The pillows were not comfy at all. It was very flat. Maybe they should provide two per person. Or provide comfortable and thicker pillows. Should also provide a bottle opener for the wine in each room.
