Our first evening dinner was very late. We booked for 7 o clock and didnt get served until 5 mins past nine. Then we wanted to order our desserts and we were told the chef had gone home and had locked the kitchen. Very dissapointing. We had to eat in the bar area which was very cramped even though there was a perfectly good dining room not being used. The food was first class we had no fault with that.

Wish we had been fed on time and in a more comfortable area.

The hotel was clean, and the room was well stocked. The front of staff was extremely polite.

The service at breakfast was quite poor. they didn't care about how it looked on the plate. The beans were dripping off the plate, and the scrambled egg had more water on the plate than egg. They were more concerned with chatting amongst themselves.

The staff at the Lucan Spa Hotel are incredible. From check in to check out, they really went above and beyond. They were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother. The hotel, a 3 star, is very charming; the older section is beautiful and whilst lived in, spotlessly clean. Loved the bits of history on display.

Nothing not to like in this experience. It's a 3 star hotel which exceeded expectations. The room had many mixed, and clearly much-used pieces of furniture, but this was in keeping with the style and age of the original building, and only added to the charm and feel of the place.

The hotel was good value for money and about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop into Dublin city centre, which takes around 25-30 minutes. There was a great choice for breakfast and the food was nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and came to service the room every day. The bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked well. There was an ironing board and iron in the room too which came in very handy for us

The room was quite hot as there was no air con or fan

Very friendly staff. Lovely friendly Dublin charm you can't get it anywhere else in the world. Room was spotless clean and the beds were so comfortable. Just a stones throw from the bus stop into the city centre. Very handy and cheaper (€2.60 per adult and 90c per child) than getting a taxi.

Maybe that the elevator was being repaired for four weeks. I do understand that these things need to be replaced however I do think that to do this kind of repair off-season would've been a better option. I just think that any elderly people might have some difficulty with the stairs.

Our stay at the hotel was for a short night before a very early flight. Therefore, we were not able to enjoy the surroundings. However, the staff were fantastic. Abby (sp?), Alice, Erica, and Ian all did their job very well. The customer service was exceptional. The bistro and the bar staff were also outstanding. The building needs some TLC. But it still was interesting seeing the artwork and decor.

Unfortunately, the location is a bit tricky because you have to walk across a highway to get to the town.

Woman on reception was very friendly

We were up for brothers funeral after visiting house came back to hotel to have a couple of drinks before bed the bar man gave us a bad look didn't want to see us or engage in chat . Breakfast was lovely but chef failed to mention the plate was hot when handing it over to my daughter and she burned her hand. The receptionist was training another staff member in and she was every abrupt and rude to her and the couple waiting. I handed over the €100 deposit on arrival only to be told that I personally had collected it even though I wasn’t staying there the following day before my daughter had checked out, by the same receptionist who was adamant it was collected and miraculously found it 5 mins later after been told numerous times by my daughter that I wasn’t collected! Other that that my daughter and friends enjoyed their stay

Good room sizes, breakfast was nice and fresh, clean hotel and good location.

We wanted to heat up our food on arrival but they could not oblige as the food was not prepared by them (culturally their menu did not suit us). Every other hotel has done this for us without any issue but perhaps they wanted us to purchase from them. Not a big deal but would have rated them higher if they assisted. The older lady on the front desk also needs a break, she was there from the afternoon right up until the next morning and she looked exhausted.

The staff are exceptional, friendly and go above and beyond to welcome and provide a professional and warm stay. The view from my lovely room was spectacular. The main staircase is beautiful and gosh the impressive paintings should be seen. It is only a moments hop to Lucan village which is just so pretty, ducks bobbing on the weir and a wonderful stroll. It is extremely easy to access the city centre, Dublin from Lucan Spa Hotel and direct routes to the rest of this fantastic country. Go see for yourself. Thank you

My first night I reported the loud fan noise and I was awoken and kept awake. I was informed by your excellent staff the noise is from the kitchen air extracted. The staff rectified this immediately, thank you.
