Glashaus Hotel

Everything at the Glashaus exceeded my expectations. The hotel is situated right next to 1st Stop heading towards Dublin (or last stop) when returning back to the hotel. There was SO MUCH to do; there is a large mall across the street with several movie theaters and a park was close by too. As for the hotel, it has a superb restaurant and bar with very reasonable prices. Our room was perfect; with a comfortable queen size bed and ALL toiletries were provided, there was also a large screen TV and a refrigerator in our room as well. Finally, every staff member we encountered were very professional and always went out of their way to assist my wife and I each day.

The location allows guests with rental cars to park underground and leave the travel to the extensive system of trams buses and trains that can take you near and far. Buy a leap visitor card before your trip. The breakfast was excellent and choices were many.

Unfortunately the shower was not giving up its hot (warm) water very freely. If you are up early there is a hot shower possibility. My specific room had new carpeting installed but doing so only allowed the room entrance door to open minimally. I still was strong enough to get it open so luggage could enter.

Very nice room, modern, sleek and comfortable. Rooms were very quiet, TV had access to streaming and WiFi worked well. Air conditioning was very useful as it was a heatwave. Staff were friendly and free parking was secure and helpful. Convenient location opposite shopping centre. Price reasonable for Dublin.

Hotel is in a rough area, we witnessed a fight outside our room in the evening and felt unsafe walking around. So much so that we didn’t leave the hotel after dark. It is a long journey in public transport into the city centre, but if you have a car this is fine.

The nicest & most helpful staff I’ve ever came across in any hotel! The room exceeded our expectations and came with every single thing we would have needed; mini fridge, iron, kettle, hairdryer etc… it was also very clean. Right next door there is a large shopping centre with clothing shops, supermarkets, currency converters and restaurants and also very close to a bus stop which makes this hotel perfectly located.

The only thing is it is quite far out from Dublin City centre, but is very local to public transport stops! other than that there is nothing else I could fault.

Staff were lovely and the bed and pillows were heavenly. Location was excellant for transport options with luas on the doorstep and the square shopping centre across the road. Quiet but central. Great option for business travellers.

Breakfast options were basic and the decor in the bar felt functional. You definitely felt you were in a budget hotel (but charging the same as the luxurious hotels). Also, not sure why they aren't affiliated with a local spa and gym or pool so that they can broaden the range of facilities they offer.

The hotels location is brilliant , literally 1 minute to the tram that takes you straight into Dublin centre, and on the doorstep to the local shopping mall, The Square, which has everything you need, staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, we ate in the restaurant two evenings, food was amazing and very reasonable breakfast was well worth the money , overall this hotel is an absolute pleasure to stay at, and I will be a regular from now on

Absolutely nothing

Excellent location for Luas into Dublin and also right next to shops and places to eat. Comfortable, modern, spacious rooms with tea/coffee, ironing board, iron and in one room there was a fridge, which was very useful as we were travelling with little kids. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and tried to be helpful with gluten-free options for one of the children.

Putting in a code to use the lift was a little bit of a nuisance but I understand that this is a security feature - just wish they had told us when they changed the code! One of the rooms was serviced very well during our stay but the other was haphazardly serviced, eg no proper cleaning some days and no replenishment of tea/coffee etc.

Location of the hotel was great with the Luas right outside. Shops were also close by. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly. We had a slight issue with our room when we arrived but the manager, Brenda, was on hand to sort this for us immediately. The view from our room was amazing too

We couldn't find a password for the wi-fi but to be honest we didn't look very hard. We also didn't need it as phone signal was excellent and the TV was connected ready for streaming.

Great location! Parking underneath the hotel easy to access, shopping centre over the way and the tram to get into Dublin is literally right outside. It was about 50 minutes on the tram into Dublin but the ride was pleasant and interesting enough. The trams are super easy to use and hop on/off. The hotel was clean, modern and spacious. The room and bathroom was lovely, to a high modern standard and we found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful.

Cool, comfortable rooms.

Beds were very firm. This is the very last stop on the red line (Trallagh) and to get to city center, it takes a good 40 minutes. Not great if you have kids with you. Also, our flight was cancelled and we couldn’t get in to stay the first night. It would have been cool for some type of discount because it was out of our control but alas, I guess that’s just business!
