We visited the beautiful cathedral city for a brief overnight following a ski trip in the Alps. We wanted somewhere with secure parking and within walking distance of the main town. There was only one review which curiously left a zero rating despite all amenities scoring highly - a dispute between managers and customers it seemed. With some apprehension we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did; everything about the place was beyond our expectations . The welcome was friendly and efficient; the environment stylish, super clean and modern but sympathetic to the historical character of the building. We especially liked the mid century /Scandi styling, hats off to the interior designer he/ she really got it right. The apartment was well planned, very spacious and peaceful. On departure the young man on reception allowed us to leave the car in the gated car park so that we could visit the cathedral. My only regret, I wish we had booked a longer stay.

A few minor points which did not spoil our stay but do bear in mind: The listing states there is WiFi in all areas but actually it is only in public areas. A personal dislike is sleeping on a plastic mattress protector, it was made more uncomfortable by the coarse, scratchy fitted sheet on top. We did not have breakfast or indeed any meals so cannot comment on their quality or value.

It opened a few months ago and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with a small kitchen area with a microwave and induction hobs. Big bathrooms. I did not have any meals so I cannot comment on these. Excellent location with secure parking. I understand there are some thirty residents at this stage. The building is very big and although it is a retirement home it caters well for tourists staying for three or four days who do not need necessarily the facilities of an hotel It would be useful to have some limited tourist information available; particularly a map of Chartres and environs. The cathedral is about ten minutes stroll away.

The accommodation was in a beautiful building, which is well located to visit the centre of Chartres. The apartment is large and nicely furnished with everything you need and more for an overnight stay. The parking is free and secure once you’ve been able to gain access. It was extremely quiet throughout the stay, and very peaceful. The price is probably too cheap for the quality of accommodation. Although there are a few bits that need to be resolved for this to be a 10/10.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room, which was a little annoying as the TV has access to Netflix and other apps which would be useful to use. The air-con seemed to be centrally controlled, as I couldn’t find any controls in our room, and it was very warm during the night. If it was my own property the water pressure in the shower could be improved, but I’m struggling to fault anything else!

Great location close to town centre with free parking . We had a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom plus a lounge / diner with cooker, fridge and all facilities .All brand new .

They had forgotten to provide cutlery and the wifi did not work in the room although it did work in reception.

Didn’t realise it was part of a senior citizens retirement home, and it felt quite odd being a random tourist staying the night!

This is a newly renovated building with excellent facilities. Room was large with a kitchen area and separate bedroom. Parking was secure and staff very friendly and attentive. Very good value for money.

Wi fi only worked close to the reception area.

A lovely spacious apartment, secure free parking, lovely staff and 10 minutes walk to the cathedral etc. We really enjoyed our stay here.
