Résidence Les Cordeliers

A short 8-10 mins from the train station. Arrived on the bus and got dropped off at the train station.This is really an apartment suitable for families. It is large enough for a family of 3-4. Sufficient storage space and the air conditioning works well.

Late serving of breakfast at 8:00 meant that early travel was precluded or a hasty breakfast was to be had. Extra cost for the breakfast. Have to remember the complicated security key system to get in, out and use the lift to get to the room.

Kitchen had only a small saucepan. And it had 2 hotplates for the stove tops. Luckily we had our own utensils and we managed. They are closed from 12-2pm for lunch. We had to wait when we arrived. They gave us directions to the appart-hotel with street names, which are not the easiest to read; so we ended up getting stuck inside the old city with one-way streets to negotiate. Wasted time navigated through. Parking is free inside the walls , 7pm - 8am. Tough to get spots, but we were lucky enough to find a spot. There is a huge geyser in the tiny bathroom; blocking a bunch of space.

Excellent location. Very helpful and kind staff. The studio was renovated, nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. It was very quiet at night. The air conditioner worked perfectly (it was very hot outside). The building is old, intra muros, close to everything. The reception sent me a code to enter the building since I came outside of their working hours; they left the keys for me in a box left from the entrance. Everything worked well. They serve breakfast and you can have it in the garden. It's also possible to have a coffee or a tea in the garden 10-19h.

The ONLY thing I didn't like was the Internet. It was problematic all the time. They apparently called a person to repair it, but it still didn't function in my building B. However, there is a great café in the street Rue des Lices number 15, called "Coffee House", they have a properly working internet and a great silent room, and the guy who works there is super nice. The badly working (not working at all) internet at the Residence Les Cordeliers is the reason I didn't give it the best mark. Otherwise, the place is excellent.

Decoration pleasantly surprised, clean throughout, efficient layout and spacious room with enough seating for 2 people and a seat for the suitcase too, bathroom compact yet efficiently laid out, kitchenette just right and nice touch to have a tea towel made available!

Breakfast although plentiful was cold apart from hard boiled eggs and toast - can’t be described as an English breakfast really !

This is a residence so the clients range from students through elderly, very comfortable, quiet, beautifully maintained. We were with a mdelium sized dog who thoroughly enjoyed the room. Having an well-functioning air conditioner was a real benfit in this summer.

The WiFi connection dropped but this was intermittent, rare, and not a particular inconvenience

Parking in the facility was great.

The reception closed quite early. It sent us a message with a code for the gate a day in advance but we couldn't get in because we didn't know which gate the message was referring to. We got in only because some residents there helped us with the gate, and they happened to have a remote control for the car gate.

nothing was wrong with the location, but next time I may stay outside of the old town and drive in and park at one of the paid parking lots, as this property was quite a walk from the center. They did rent us a parking spot at the accommodation, which was great. Very helpful staff. Overall very good value for money.

The shower in the bathroom was exceptionally small.

Good location close to/in the old city and just a 5-10 min walk from the train station. Very useful that they had the ability to rent bikes. Helpful reception.

The bathroom of my room was really small. Hard to even close the door when sitting on the toilet.

we had a very good stay at Résidence Les Cordeliers, the rooms are very basic but with a kitchen and a table very convenient. The stuff was super nice and helpful. We would stay here again

The reception hours had us make some changes in our travel plan and were not necessarily flexible. But it all worked out. Just keep in mind that it is not a 24 hours reception.

Location - walking distance from all attractions and nice restaurants all around Quiet room Staff was friendly and helpful

If you’re planning to cook a meal the kitchen might not be totally equipped (é.g. Just one pan). More than enough for a simple meal anyways
