La Mirande

This property is exquisite. From the garden with views of the l’Palais des Papes to the center enclosed courtyard with twinkling chandeliers and on to the antique appointed rooms the entire space was magical. We felt like we were in our honeymoon fairytale. We also dined in the Michelin star restaurant and that experience was one of our favorite memories of the trip. We can also not say enough about the warm, helpful staff. This is a truly remarkable space and we have already recommended it to friends and family.

The smell , conform , and the taste and the color .. when u enter to the gate you pass in to a different age and the world . If that is the aim of the owner of the Mirande and she / he succeed it . We had a wonderful dinner and even more perfect breakfast . The rooms are so clean and clean and new material but like my grandma home a balanced orientalist and 18 century French style …

Everything is exceptional, especially the courtyard and garden. Staff very friendly. Restaurant dinner is spectacular, I’d say even better than some two-star restaurants. We could spend two weeks here. Maybe next time we will. :)

One down side is that the garden in the evening is only accessible to dinner guests, which is understandable I guess. However, the real little problem is that the restaurant’s dinner menu lacks variety. It only has the pre-set 6 course or 9 course dinner, and is essentially the same from day to day (we were told that it varies from week to week). It became an issue for us because we stayed at the hotel for 4 days, and since we had the full 9-course dinner on day 1, it pretty much made no sense to repeat the same dinner during the rest of the stay, even though we’d love to dine again in the garden. :(

An excellent hotel with rich history in the heart of Avignon . Staff is very friendly. They upgraded our rooms to a connecting corner suite and we had a night comfortable stay there. Dinner at the hotel was beautiful and the morning breakfast in the courtyard was really enjoyable.

Facilities are bit dated - they still use keys so was a bit inconvenient

The location of the hotel is just the best! The hotel is located in a historical building just next to the Palace des Papes. La Mirande is small and very cozy hotel with beautiful interiors and atmosphere. The room was comfortable with everything you need and even more. Breakfast was delicious and varied.

The funny thing: I asked to bring the iron board and it was almost the same age as the hotel)). But still, in spite of its limping it was helpful ;).

The service in gastronomic restaurant was rather slow towards the end, making it a very long drawn out dinner (long wait between the different courses towards the end, which was rather an unfortunate way to end what would otherwise have been an excellent dinner)

What can we say? This was an incredible city to visit and a superb hotel for our stay. The hotel was built in 1670 as a personal mansion just across the street from the backside of the Papal Palace. Everything about this hotel from the elegant room to the palatial common areas downstairs take you back 500 years, but with modern conveniences. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.

This idyllic location was the perfect setting for our visit to Avignon and the area. It was an amazing hotel with so much history to help us celebrate our 30 th anniversary. The staff was excellent. Special shout out to Lucas. A great staff member.

The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the castle. The hotel lobby and rooms are very comfortable and have a sense of history. The dinner restaurant is also very good and the taste is good.

A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of historic Avignon. Tastefully decorated throughout with a great atmosphere. Afternoon teas in the lounge and the two restaurants were exceptionally good.
