Kyriad Avignon - Palais des Papes

Certainly not the fanciest hotel in town, but very clean and provided excellent value and a perfect location right in the heart of the action. The morning breakfast was nice and all the staff was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the stay.

no fault of the hotel at all, make sure you know that the City Center is locked up to traffic for certain hours every day, making it a little bit of a challenge getting luggage to and from the hotel if you need to during those hours. Not impossible, just a bit of an inconvenience if you have alot of luggage. There is also no in-rooms safe to secure any valuables, they should add those to the rooms.

Ideal location for sightseeing in Avignon; a plenty of restaurants around. Train station within an easy 15-minutes walk. Staff very welcoming and accommodating. Good breakfast. Very good pillows. Hygiene standards appear to be very high, everything was spotless clean.

Beds a bit too narrow and a bit too soft, though otherwise of high quality. Breakfast room is quite small and cramped; this didn't spoil us the general impression of the breakfast though.

The location is perfect to visit Avignon. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a warm welcome from the staff and adapted explanations about whatever we wanted. The parking "Palais des Papes" is very close to the hotel, don't hesitate to use your car if you are a family. The hotel gives you 20% rabate.

We loved the situation of the hotel, on the busy square. Loved the hum of people enjoying themselves outside the window and the closeness of the restaurants and Palace de papers. The thick window glazing meant we could cut out the noise from the street if we wished to do so. We liked sitting outdoors to eat our breakfast which was adequate for our needs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The city is very interesting. We enjoyed a visit to the Palace de Papes and a lunch river cruise.

As an older couple we would have benefitted from aids in the bathroom such as a grab handle and non-stick mat in the shower.

Great central location - walk out the door into Place de l’Horlage with stacks of restaurants and bars. But with double glazing and air con the noise from the restaurants etc was negligible. Breakfast was 11€ and was fine. The reception girls were really lovely and personable. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The hesitancy with refunding our bar tab/key deposit - still waiting.

Very large room, which was great. Comfy beds. Friendly and professional staff, gave us good recommendations for dinner (away from the tourist places). Excellent location just a few minutes from the Palais. Terrific cycling directly from the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Nothing. Note that you cannot access this hotel directly by car. Park in the Palais garage. Easiest to follow signs for the "Mercure hotel" and exit that way. The Kyriad is just 50 or so meters beyond the Mercure, so easy to find.

The Hotel is right in the centre close to the Palias des Papes, the historical centre, and easy to reach by parking in the underground park (50 meters from the hotel). We stayed 2 night and I would go back in Avignon again and choose this hotel

Rooms are a bit small but it's quite obvious and accetable due to the fact that the hotel is right in the historical area and old (non the hotel) buildings

Comfortable, basic but very clean rooms, well maintained. Great Location in the very centre of Avignon. Which is a quiet city at night! Friendly staff.

In good weather, I wouldn't take breakfast at the hotel; it's okay but the available room is small and enclosed. (And the hotel seems popular with traveling groups.) You may as well have continental breakfast outdoors, even next door, for the same price.

We did not include breakfast in our stay. The family room for 4 was quite roomy and the one for 2 people was small but just right. Location was great! Amid restaurants and centrally located and around corner from Palais des Pape. Though square out front was busy, could not hear all the noise. We were on their floor 2.

Nothing. Maybe a better hair dryer as it stopped on and off after 5 min use. I looked for an iron to get wrinkles out of my dress, but no big deal. I’m sure if I asked, they would have provided one.

There already was a fridge. The airco was put in a way it could remain working during the night. The bed was perfect. A d the staff was super nice and patient.

The shower in the bath as it is more difficult to get in. And the fridge that was only available for the drinks of the hotel. Fridge was too small - the need to put in some personal items.
