very clean, extraordinary nice staff, especially at the reception

out of 4 nights, we could use the rooftop-terrace just once. all the other days it was closed for hotelguests due to private parties. I mean, we choose the hotel for the ubication and for the rooftop-terrace, but if you pay for it (and the hotel is expensive) and can‘t use it then, it‘s a shame.

The staff and property itself were excellent; very clean and attentive. The rooftop pool was incredible and we were in it everyday.

The rooftop bar area was constantly closed/rented out for weddings, events, movie shoots, etc. Although we still received service in the pool area we were limited to the rooftop bar. Out of 5 nights we were only able to visit the rooftop bar area once.

Wonderful staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel. They answered all of our questions, spoke English without difficulty. The staff also provided suggestions that we enjoyed quite a lot, for example additional restaurants to try. The location made it easy for us to navigate the city and yet have sufficient quiet (we were a family) at night time. The free breakfasts were delicious and included made-to-order items (including local casseroles) far superior to most buffets you get. The roof-top views impressed us a lot!

The gym needs heavier weights than 15lbs / 7kg, also I wish the gym had double the size. I used it at the same time as another person, and we fit well, however an additional person would have made exercise difficult.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is fabulous. All of the movich employees are attentive, friendly and caring. They made the stay comfortable and stress free. They are always wiling to help and assist when needed.

Everything was great. Very small detail but the outdoor furniture cushions could use a cleaning. The hotel and housekeeping does a good shop with housekeeping and sanitation.

The staff are very nice and friendly trying always to serve and help. The location is perfect and the rooms are very big and comfortable. Sidney was great smiling and helpful .

The breakfast room is to dark. The hotel look like it need a renovation, it looks tired. The gym should be with better equipment and renew it looks. many rooms are facing a wall.

Fantastic hotel all around! The room was very spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom luxurious. They have the best rooftop in Cartagena and the view from the rooftop/pool area was incredible! The staff was very kind and attentive and the breakfast was stellar. Enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.

The AC in our room stopped working midway through our stay. Since it was at night, they sent someone to take a look at the problem and followed it up with repair visit in the morning. They also offered a room change. Unfortunately, the repairs didn't work. Cartagena can be really hot and the staff did whatever they could to help us out.

I first just want to say that Nelson at the front desk is wonderful. He helped us book trips to the islands and around the city that were really great, and then halfway through our trip, my family experienced a unexpected tragedy. he was very kind and thoughtful, but not intrusive — I really appreciated his help for me and my dad. I loved the location of this property and the rooftop pool is lovely. The beds were pretty comfortable and the blackout curtains were great! you can hear a little street noise since it’s right in the walled city but I used a white noise app and didn’t have an issue!

Nice little boutique hotel centrally located. The staff was very courteous and helpful, specially the restaurant staff. Loved the rooftop. Beautiful view of the city and a nice place to have a drink and see the sunset. Rooms were modern and spacious.

The bathroom shower had a see through window from outside that I hated.

Pluses definitely outweigh minuses. For starters, to say that the view from the swimming pool and terrace is stunning is an understatement. It's simply the best view from anywhere within the old city of Cartagena. You will be swimming and watching San Pedro Claver cathedral and the full skyline of Bocagrande right in front of you, and the watch tower and secondary churches and colonial rooftops on the other side. Secondly, staff is SO great. Ines, Victor, Rafael, Sandra and all the staff at the rooftop are so great that we still have no words to thank them all the effort in making this experience feel so personal. This hotel wouldn't be the same without the personal touch these people imprint on our experiences. Third, views from our luxury room and the suite (we stayed in both) were absolutely out of this world. Fourth, location in the heart of the Old city makes of Movich the perfect place to stay, steps away from the most iconic landmarks of the city

Upper rooms close to rooftop restaurants are far from being quiet, you'll hear guests and staff on their daily grind. Terrace could use more umbrellas - there's hardly any shadow in the scorching hot weather of Cartagena during daytime. In general, some aspects of the hotel (faucets, wall painting, furniture) could use a refreshing. The hotel is 12 years old and you can tell - although it definitely delivers on its promises and ensures a pleasant stay. Also, breakfast should have some improvement. While service and attention are great, quality of food and variety are not great. Not having yogurt or croissants during our first morning, or not having a selection of cheeses and ham, is definitely something I do not expect to miss in a 5 star experience.

This property exceeded our expectations. It’s location is perfect and honestly the best view of the city is from its rooftop pool and restaurant. The pool area is small but it was never crowded during our stay. The drinks and food were delicious. At the pool Armando was charming and made excellent food and drink recommendations. The sunsets are incredible from the rooftop. The breakfast is to order with plenty of options and was always fresh and delicious. Sandra always had a smile when taking our order and even brought a pot of coffee to our room a few mornings before we heading down for breakfast. Sergio, Victor and Nelson made reservations for us for dinner and coordinated an excellent day at the beach in Playa Blanca with private transportation. It was an absolutely wonderful stay.
