We went to Cartagena for ours sons wedding. We read the reviews for The Hotel Charleston and I’m glad we ignored the negative reviews. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the service was amazing. It is in a perfect location in The Walled City. Shopping and restaurants are just steps away from the hotel. No need for a taxi. We ordered room service in the morning for breakfast and we couldn’t believe how fast they were,not to mention everything was delicious. If we go back to Colombia there is no doubt that we will be going back to this hotel.

I liked everything EXCEPT this: 1) blue bird in the room we did not use - when we checked out I was told it was broken - the hotel wanted to charge me - they didn’t - BUT - why place something in the room that can be broken? AND IF IT DOES BREAK - how can you charge the guest? A little blue bird? USE SOMETHING ELSE INSTEAD!
Don’t put things in the room that can break - BLUE BIRD - and then charge guests for it. We didn’t touch the blue bird. Maybe fell on the desk but trying to charge me for it- NO

I know that it was disclosed before, but I feel like breakfast should be included instead of separate. Considering all the other hotels nearby for less include breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful, very located and the food and service were perfect. The staff was very committed to make our stay all that we wanted. The bedroom in general very clear and comfy. It was a truly special place to spend out vacation.
I think it is expensive, however I think the really worth it.
