Sandman Hotel Vancouver Airport

very easy to find our room and easy to find the restaurant. Staff were very pleasant and helpfull..

After arriving at Vancouver airport we went outside to wait for the Bus which would take us to Sandman Hotel. while waiting outside at the pickup point and talking to others who were also waiting for the bus to take them to their Hotel we discovered that there were in fact two Hotels with the name of Sandman. Two buses arrived at the same time to take customers to Sandman hotel. A lot of confusion as I and two other families were not aware which Hotel they were booked into, My Husband and I were fortunate that we chose the correct Bus to the Sandman that we had booked into.

They gave us a free upgrade to a king suite that was 2 levels with a kitchen. The kitchen was lovely. Was free granola bar, bottle of water, shortbread cookie and chips! Staff were super friendly. Got the french breakfast to go in the morning due to early flight and it was very good. Room was quiet. Very close to airport. Airport shuttle was great.

Need better AC unit in king 2 level suite. Was too hot to sleep in the king bed upstairs even with fan going. Upgrade pullout couch mattress. Need dish cloths in kitchen.

The Barcelona Airport Hotel was an excellent stay, it was a 5 star hotel. The king size room was very comfortable and spacious with a large bathroom with double sinks and large shower. The best thing at the hotel was the meals. We had a delicious dinner with excellent service and one of the best buffet breakfasts we have ever had in our travels. We have been recommending this hotel to our friends. * But we still are upset with the booking from your website in Perpignan at Chic et douillet. We like to stay in apartments and experience living in the community and shopping and mixing with the local people. But as travellers it is important to have someone to meet us at the lodging and help us get settled in and explain how to get around the city. For that reason we will never book an apartment with booking.com and will book with VRBO and work with a private owner. I would advise that you take off this apartment from your booking sites. Even the local people told us that it was not a good area to stay and have a rental car on the street. Unfortunately we had to pay for this location on our Visa even we did not stay there. It's a nice place in an excellent location. It has a nice Moxies bar/restaurant. There is shopping across the road... Chinese Market, Dollarama, Michael's... very handy.

My room. (228). Pretty sure it was the tiniest room and right beside the elevator. I heard that a lot. Makes it noisy too if people are right outside your room talking while they wait for the lift. The tiny room was a "for disabled " room and the bathroom was great for that. But anyone in a wheelchair would have had difficulty moving around what little space there was.

Great location - airport was only 10 minutes away. We got our wake up call. We had great food and drinks at Moxies, the restaurant in the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

We could not park and fly because they have a 2 week maximum for days and we were needing 16 days. Had to pay huge price at the airport $420 . Not so happy with that outcome. We would not have brought our vehicle if we had known that.

The Shuttle bus pick up from airport. The room layout, cleanliness and equipment

Breakfast not available until 8am. Shuttle times not published on hotel information. Shuttle bus only took me to main terminal, on departure I requested South terminal but this could not be provided even as I was the only passenger. I then had to get a taxi to change terminals which cost me 20 dollars.

The way the gentleman helped me upon arrival . The gentleman that was at the front desk upon my departure wasn’t that effective because I didn’t have the shuttle to go for my next flight. I was waiting for it and I ended taking a taxi because he said it came but from the difference entrance and he wasn’t aware of me waiting for it even if I ask him where to stand for the shuttle . This was at 6:15 in the morning on Saturday 13th in August .

To have a reliable dhuttle

We only stayed here for the day as we had a late flight that night. The room was good. The beds were really comfy. Everything was clean. There is a restaurant on site .Or a Tim Hortons across the road. They have a shuttle bus to the airport for free.

I was hoping to get a little discount as we couldn't check in til 2pm and then we left at 7.30pm.

Kids had fun in the Pool, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The restaurant is nice and had good food as well. I really like when a restaurant is attached for convenience with little kids. All in all a really good option to stay. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

TV was difficult to work - never figured it out. The pre-order breakfast was not explained to me so I didn't know about it and when I saw it in the morning I was disappointed that we were supposed to have already ordered and therefore could not receive it.

The room was very comfortable

We waited an hour and a half for the shuttle from the airport. After an hour, the shuttle went by in the far lane and didn’t pull in to the pickup point even though we were waving. We phoned the hotel and he just said he would send them to us as soon as possible. As it turned out, that was the regular 30 minute pickup time. It was really cold and we were chilled all night after that
