Cambie Lodge

Our stay at Cambie Lodge was perfect! We arrived around 2 p.m., and, although the check-in usually is open from 3 p.m., our room was already ready for us. The room had a private bathroom and all the spaces were perfectly clean. We have been provided with towels and different soaps. The breakfast is included in the price and it was delicious! The apartment is located in one of the nicest neighborhoods of Vancouver. It's just one minute's walk from the bus/tram stop and 5 minutes from the metro station. However, you can also walk to downtown, as it's just 20/25 minutes away. In front of the house, there is also a bike rental station, which is very useful if you need to move faster to a specific destination. Plenty of shops, markets and restaurants can be reached within a few minutes' walk. We can surely recommend Cambie Lodge!

What a super beautiful place to stay.My friend and I were greeted by Bernice, a very friendly lady, upon arrival.Bernice made us feel at home immediately.She gave us all the information we needed for a very happy and comfortable stay.She also greeted us at breakfast to see how we were doing.She most certainly is a credit to Cambie Lodge.Another lady(Maria)..I hope I got the name right, was our breakfast server.Her kitchen was so well organized making coffee and all breakfast trimmings so easily accessible.She took our breakfast order and provided a delicious breakfast..such a plus.The suite itself was immaculate with all the comforts of home.It is situated just steps off Cambie,but minus all the traffic noise.The beds were super comfy and we had a great night's rest.We really,really enjoyed our stay at Cambie Lodge and will return again sometime in the future.Great place..Cambie Lodge!

The place is so cozy and we felt to be home. The staff was kind and available to give all the information we needed. The breakfast contains food from a small buffet (fresh fruits, bread, cereals, etc.) and a hot plate prepared at the moment (you can choose among different types of eggs, pancakes and French toast). There is the Broadway-City Hall train station close to the B&B, which permits to reach both the airport and downtown within maximum 20 minutes.

We stayed in the room at the main floor, where the people footsteps from the upstairs room were clearly audible.

My son & myself we’re in the 2 bed Oak suite which was perfect for our 7 night stay. the only issue we had was with the toilet. It blocked at 3am on our first evening, & took quite a while to unblock with the plunger. we were very careful as to what we were putting down the loo however it happened again late on near the end of the week. I perhaps should have called the staff but it was late on both occasions so I ended up unblocking it myself, not ideal but didn’t ruin our stay. I assume that because there was a plunger in the bathroom that this issue has happened before.

The comfortable suite with two rooms and kitchenette is very practical for families. It provides more privacy than the typical 4-bed rooms hotels often provide. But you can make yourself comfortable in "the lobby" in the meantime. The operators are friendly, the breakfast was okay despite a small corona-related restriction (only boiled eggs). We liked the location in a pretty side street.

The family suite is in the basement and therefore a bit dark.

I can't comment further as my reason for being in Vancouver was to visit my husband in hospital. Therefore, I didn't have time to stay for breakfast but the location was exceptional for my purposes - a 10 minute walk from the hospital. I have stayed at their accommodation next door several times in the past and already knew this was a good place to stay.

Check in was fast and efficient. They have a good easy system. Had a one room/one bathroom accommodation and it was perfect for my needs. Very well done and clean. I didn't spend too much time at the facility but for the little bit of common area, it was nice and clean and pretty quiet. The location is fantastic. Hadn't been to Vancouver with a vehicle before and it's very central to where we needed to be and once you get a handle on the streets, it's great access to main roads and lots of amenities.

I don't think it's anything they can fix easily but parking was a bit of a pain. one of the spots out front was pretty much taken up by a huge boat. The alternative parking was super tight and inconvenient with a gate having to be opened and closed pretty much the each time. However, I do acknowledge it's Vancouver and space is a premium. During COVID I know they're trying to be accommodating by having the check-in virtual but you lose any connection, communication and relationship with the people involved.

We stayed in the double room with a shared bathroom and it was perfect for two colleagues. It was a really nice stay and we can definitely recommend Cambie Lodge. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Gustavo welcomed us in royal style, giving us all the information and recommendations necessary to enjoy the beautiful house and gracious neighborhood. Kudos to him for treating us like long lost family! The breakfast was also fabulous, in a relaxing cheery environment. Started out our day right.

No complaints!

Lovely staff. As an older property it had some quirks like washbasin in the bedroom which was fine. Appreciated the bath. Room was a reasonable size and bed comfortable. Great breakfast. An expensive city to stay in but this was good value.
