L'Hermitage Hotel

Smack dab in the middle of everything. Bicycle share station right in front of the property and a short walk to the train. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping steps from the front door. Staff was so friendly!! Took advantage of the hot tub and pool every night and there was rarely anyone in there with us.

It would be nice to be able to enter back into the hotel the same way you access the pool area. Our room was right off the pool, but we couldn't re-enter and would have to parade thru the restaurant patio, the gym and then across the entire 5th floor to get to our room. Also, it would be nice to have size inclusive robes so it didn't feel like a walk of shame to get back to my room.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at L'Hermitage, a lovely boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to help to us. The room itself on the 6th floor (by the boardroom) was huge and had a really premium quality feel to it. We loved the view of the swimming pool area, the remote-controlled fireplace, and the large bathroom that had a brilliant bath & shower. We also really appreciated the 12 noon check out, and the check out process was quick and easy. They even called us a taxi to the airport and provided complimentary water for the journey. I can't really fault the hotel on anything, highly recommend for leisure or business!

Not much - we loved it! The hotel is perhaps not the most modern that I've stayed in, but it has a traditional high-end charm that more than makes up for it.

As soon as we arrived, early, after a very long flight the staff greeted us and accommodated our request for a very check-in, big tick for very wary travelers. The room was huge, very well maintained and very well fitted out. The access to USB and power points were excellent. The bathroom took our breath away. It was huge, the rainfall shower was amazing, to the point we sent photos home to our son-in-law who is renovating our bathroom telling him we wanted this bathroom;). The toilet was sound proofed, a nice feature. The bed was huge, I lost my partner in the bed each night, and it was super comfy and we slept extraordinarily well each night. I used the outdoor hot tub and pool and both were magnificent. Warm enough and hot enough each and pure pleasure in zero degree temperatures. We didn't eat here as there are too many other external options. Central to everything. Starbucks across the road, Tim Hortons around the corner, a small supermarket nextdoor, walking distance to downtown, Gastown, everything really. And the breakfast restaurant next door, Cafe Medina, whilst very expensive was magnificent to eat at. They just need to open earlier;). I must repeat that the staff were great. Welcoming, friendly and helpful, and even though we were dressed like slobs most of the time (comfort, more important than looks) they treated us

The room was very spacious. It was clean and modern. The bathroom was very large, with a separate rain head shower and a bathtub. The grounds were very well maintained. The food at the restaurant was excellent.The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We had an early check-in. They provided us with complementary water during our stay. We were offered coffee and tea when we arrived at the property. When our flight was delayed, we were offered to stay in their restaurant lounge area. They were all so helpful and kind.

The staff, like Mary Ann, Hrishiv and Stephanie were very helpful, friendly and informative. The kitchen in the room was clean and very well equipped. The location was excellent as it was walkable to most sites. The skytrain stations were nearby. The room was very quiet and clean. There is servicing of the room every day. There is a large supermarket and several restaurants just a few steps away from the hotel.

Excellent customer service. - nothing is too much trouble and we experienced some of the best service ever - with a smile. If you can - go for a balcony and kitchen facilities as we were there without both - for 5-nights - which to be honest is too long in Vancouver. Hotel has a pool and Jacuzzi - smallish but with a few beds. Secure underground Parking for around CAD32 per 24hrs - well organised. The hotel is well placed to catch buses and sky train/underground (Vancouver Central). Go hire bikes for Stanley Island and drive or bus over to Capilano Suspension Bridge. UBC Museum of Anthropology is worth a visit too. Then leave Vancouver … 😀

Room was bit small despite big price tag - would have expected more for the price.

It looked welcoming as soon as we got out of the car, the staff were very friendly, professional and courteous - inside it was clean and comfortable even though we arrived some 4 hours early they said they would be able to accommodate us to a room within minutes. The manager even came out to make sure we were being looked after and asked if we needed anything - her staff had already taken care of everything and within minutes the receptionist was showing us to the lift en route to our room - impressive.

Nothing. We could not truly find anything to complain about or anything we did not like - .

I liked everything about it. I have never felt more important than I did staying here. They took my cases up to my room and even bought them down when I checked out. All of the staff went out of their way to help with anything I needed. The decor of the room was beautiful, the shower was one of the best I’ve had and the bed was so comfy. Food in restaurant was also great.

Ideally located in the middle of downtown, but it feels like an island of tranquillity. Excellent breakfast (the Continental one; we didn’t try any other because the Continental was so good). Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool is great - perfectly tempered, slightly salted water and long enough for some long strokes.

A second chair in the room would be nice. The AC is a little bit too noisy. The temperature controller if the shower is tricky to handle.

Loved the room and the staff, especially Pablo. He was so helpful at any time and answered all of my silly questions. The housekeeping staff were also great as whenever I called to get more towels and ammenities, they always bought everything I needed and it was never a problem. I know it’s different times and cleaning is not done every day but they still made sure I was comfortable

The room was great and the bed was huge however was disappointed that bed on each side had big divets in it from where People had been sleeping and wore a groove/hole in the bed. The mattresses need to be ditched and new ones bought or turnover the mattress. I woke up with a sore back every morning from sleep in a valley ! If you sleep on the side the mattress you rolled into it
