EXchange Hotel Vancouver

I stayed 7 nights in this hotel from 27th April till 4th May 2022 and had excellent experience. Location of Hotel was perfect. 5 min walk to Canada place. Close to many restaurants, shops and malls. Even we walk to Stanly park that was 20 min walk. Staff were very nice, specially Mr. Farshad who was very polite, helpful and kind. All of them helped me to visit best parts of Vancouver with best and reasonable cost. They always welcome us with beautiful laugh and very polite manner. I think staff of this hotel is the most valuable part of the hotel. I will stay in this hotel again for sure if I visit Vancouver.

Breakfast was not buffet and we should choose from a menu every day with 4-5 options only. Also we could only have one drink every day, I mean coffee or tea or orange juice and second one was chargeable, although we had paid for breakfast.

Location is perfect for those attending TED conference.

The lights near the coat hanger didn't work. The lights along the window didn't work. I stayed for 5 nights and both these electrical issues remained unfixed.

Stayed in the Boutique Queen Studio and it was a reasonable size for 2 people for a few days. The hotel felt luxurious without being pretentious, the staff were very courteous and always spoke to you. We ordered food on room service from the restaurant and it was delicious. Very good use of technology to help make the stay easier and more comfortable but staff still available to help with anything you need. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely.

The shower pressure was low which was a bit disappointing. Due to the central downtown location it could be a bit noisy with sirens (we were on the 8th floor) but earplugs sorted that. You get noise in all city centres.

Breakfast is excellent, switched each day, staff are very friendly. Room is comfortable and with good view, we will be back definitely.

Taxi is hard to book, Uber is not working there.

Big, bright, modern room. Excellent cleaning and reception and concierge staff were excellent. The location is in just about the best part of downtown Vancouver. The staff were extremely welcoming, from our first arrival, and every time we came in and went out of the hotel. They made sure they got to know us as guests very quickly. Very impressed, would highly recommend.

Our shower panel seal was ineffective, meaning that water streamed onto the floor after even the shortest of showers. We had to use our towels each morning to keep the floor dry, meaning we weren't able to reduce the amount of towel changes during our week. We did advise the hotel on the first morning, but this wasn't rectified. That said, any other query we had at the hotel was swiftly actioned and the hotel was very accommodating.

The room was spacious, clean and decorated well. I loved the outside space in the morning with coffee. The bed was very comfortable and sheets and linens excellent. the sofa bed mattress was great which is a bonus! The employees from street level, baggage and front desk were exceptional. Easy walking distance to the port. Loved the history of the building!

Please include wifi for free. The restaurant was expensive for just 1-2 nights. I could have used a small cafe as the close coffee shop was closed… but i was given a 10% discount card for the next coffee shop! Again easy walk to other places. Honestly, really had a great stay.

The location was great, convenient to the Sky Train and downtown. The staff at the hotel was the friendliest we’ve ever encountered…every single employee including the maids wished us a good day and the concierge staff were very helpful. I liked the heated floor in the bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel was good.

There was no closet in the room; instead there was a free standing unit with hangers for your clothes. The bed was on a platform that extended several inches, making it a hazard to navigate around. The bathroom had the world’s smallest sink. The room rates were expensive. Overall we were disappointed in the room.

Love every thing about the hotel, really. Staff were all super friendly and nice. Check in check out was easy and the front desk staff are well mannered , i had two different bookings so they kept me in the same room to avoid covid concerns and no need to pack and tidy again for me ! The valet and Conceirge downstairs is superb and wonderful, opening doors for us, getting the elevators for us, I didn’t expect this for the price i paid so it’s definitely exceeded my expectations. The toiletries they used were Loccotaine which is one of my favourites but I have to say the body lotion provided seems more waterycompared to the ones I actually bought from Loccotaine. It felt more diluted like the hand lotions from bath and body works. The rooms were beautiful, contemporary , modern and chic , trendy not those old types. I hope in the future they would have the shower water pressure higher or add more jets in the shower. I had a 5 hr flight with abit of jetlag and im normally not a fan of soft plush beds but i slept so well and well rested for the first two nights. Will definitely come back and highly recommend!

The bathroom was beautiful and lovely but I just wish the shower had extra jets or the water pressure is higher because it took a longer time to rinse through.

location and staff

Location was fantastic, very central to coal harbour, shopping, great restaurants, and transit. Room was spacious, clean, modern design and comfortable.

Upon arrival, I indicated that my luggage had been lost by the airline. My husband also phoned prior to my arrival and spoke to someone to let them know of this situation. I was devastated and exhausted from a long day of travel and dealing with the airline. Front desk was unaware of my husband's call (no note was made on my file) and when I asked for basic toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste and feminine hygiene products - I was told that they were in my room. They were not in my room however, and I had to navigate this new city and find a pharmacy that was open late on a Sunday.
