Sandman Hotel Vancouver Downtown

Location was good,very convenient. Close to downtown. breakfast ,we did not tried

It was a construction, some noise.

For Sure, location is the most important for choosing this hotel. Its downtown! and 10mins walk to MRT Station. next to the hotel there is Japanese restaurant (Black Izakaya) and it is also recommended. if you want to visit Vancouver and see the downtown, so you can choose this hotel.

I booked this hotel in sudden, and summer time, so the price is higher from i paid last year. The hotel is running a renovation, so sometimes there are workers passing in the lobby area.

Was very nice that we were allowed to check in early

I did not like being woken up at 9 am with some ladies talking loud outside the door

It was a nice room with a nice shower. It had a pool available which we didn't use. The Hop on/off bus stops right in front and the hotel sells tickets for it. ( this was the main reason we picked this place.) The hotel is clean and the staff were helpful. there is a nicer restaurant, Moxies , on the property , open for lunch and dinner, but we did not go there.

There is a sports bar restaurant on the property that serves breakfast, but it was closed down one of the mornings we were there. There are not too many other restaurants for breakfast around the neighborhood. It is downtown near the sports stadium and the area looks a little run down . It was a little more expensive than some places. It is a large 2 tower hotel. We were up on the11th floor, and I actually prefer smaller places. The sign for Moxies Restaurant is much larger than the name of the hotel on the entrance door, so we almost missed the hotel.

I liked the quiet room and king sized bed. It helped me to relax and feel safe at the same time.

Location is great, the hotel is being refurbished and we had one of the newly renovated rooms so everything was new. Breakfast in the pub was delicious. The personnel were courteous though not always helpful.

The employees were not all in the know in light of the ongoing work, e.g. I asked if there is a water machine and was sent to one of the floors that was being renovated which was dark and creepy (given that it was late), and there was no water machine there either so double whammy. My room came with a bottle of wine but there was no bottle opener and it took the lady at the lobby counter some time to find one.

Clean and great beds

Confusing when we arrived. No one was at the check in desk for about 20 minutes. Thought we had the wrong entrance. Surprised no employee was available and no sign to indicate if they were coming back. After wait and other guests arrived we waited and someone did come with no explanation as to the delay. First time for everything. Once checked in all was good to go.

Location is unbeatable, literally everything is walking distance - and with the SkyTrain right across the street, you can get anywhere from here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was tidy and clean. Even with current construction, every effort was made to keep noise down, and be as unobtrusive as possible. The bed was comfy, with lots of pillows.

Parking situation was hard to understand, the front desk staff explained it clearly. Signage to the concierge/drive way would be helpful, especially for elderly folks who struggle with walking up steep hills. Vending machines on site do not have beverages (pop or water).

The staff were amazing and extremely accommodating with anything we asked for.
