The location is excellent--very walkable distance to the Mall. Clean and comfortable rooms, lovely staff. Parking costs $53, but it was very convenient and you can leave and come back with your car as often as you like.

3 sets of elevators were out of service at one point (making only 1 operable). On the bright side, 2 were fixed right away. Looks like the elevators may need refurbishing.

The location and staff were excellent.

Our air broke in the room on our last night, I didn't repot it because we were so tired from walking all day we didn't want to have to go through the process of switching rooms.

Fantastic location within walking distance of the National Wall and close to L'Enfant Plaza metro station which is served by five subway lines. This is a large hotel with a number of amenities on site, including a small shop which was handy for buying drinks and snacks to take up to the room in the evening. There are also two restaurants to choose from. The room was spacious and comfortable with air conditioning, a sofa and and a very comfy bed.

The hotel is near a railway line which does generate some noise from train horns and bells from early in the morning to late at night, so this is something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. Rooms on the C Street (north side) of the building are located further from the railway but the trains can still be heard at times.

There is a train that blows its horn several times early in the morning (6-6:30am) and throughout the day if you are staying in a room that faces the tracks. Will definitely wake you up early every morning. Not sure when that train stops running as we had activities booked till later in the evening and didn’t get back to hotel until 11:30pm-midnight. Wish the hotel staff would have informed us of this feature when we checked in as it was disturbing on our sleep schedule some days during our stay there.

The location couldn’t have been better, with the National Mall just a couple short blocks away…. The hotel was clean and well maintained… Front desk and cleaning staff were outstanding, very helpful….. Loved being able to park our car in the underground lot right below the motel…. Even more amenities that I don’t have time to write about!

No major biggie but we like having free morning coffee from an urn in the lobby and they didn’t have that. (Yeah, we’re cheap! 😊) But they had a Starbucks right off the lobby so I get that they must have some agreement not to offer the traditional free coffee in the lobby.

the Holiday Inn was central to all areas near the National Mall. We walked to all tourist areas which included the Capitol Building and the Lincoln Memorial. The room was large and comfortable and kept very clean. The restaurant was excellent offering a wonderful buffet breakfast and good choices in the evening if required. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Washington DC.

We found nothing wrong with the hotel. For us all was excellent.

The location was convenient to the National Mall. The Air and Space Museum is a block away. If you are able to walk, it is within walking distance to the Spy Museum, two Metro stations and there is a Circulator bus that runs around the entire mall to take you to sites that are a bit further like the Lincoln Memorial.

There weren’t many food options in the immediate area. We walked to the Wharf and up to the Capitol Building area to find restaurants. We also took the metro to eat at Restaurants like Old Ebbitt Grill.

Excellent location! We selected this hotel because it is in easy walking distance to most Smithsonian museums, ten minute walk to the capital, and directly adjacent to the Metro station. There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel and two restaurants located in the lobby, one open for breakfast serving a small standard menu and reasonably priced buffet and the other open for dinner with a small but decent menu selection and good food. There is also a McDonald's and pizza place on the same block. The hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming, answering all questions and providing information about the city. Underground parking is available as well for $53 overnight. We drove so we took advantage of the parking garage.

We would have loved to have a microwave in the room to heat water. The hotel is undergoing outside construction in the courtyard during our stay, so the view wasn't of the outdoor patio garden but that didn't detract from the trip.

Location, location, location! The location was central to everything we wanted to do. We parked and never got back in our car until we were headed home. We saw all the most famous sites. Plus, we could walk to McDonalds, a local pizzeria, and the Starbucks was right in the lobby! The room was very clean, and we were provided with Dove soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! The restaurant downstairs even offered a take-away pizza deal that was very reasonable (even if the other dining options were very overpriced). If and when we go back to DC we will definitely be staying here.

I wish the hotel dining options were more reasonably priced, but this area seems to charge a lot for food anyway (except for chains like McDonalds). The most reasonably priced hidden gem was the little cafe downstairs in the National Archives.

The location is excellent, if you plan to explore the museums at the Mall. I booked a package deal that included the hotel parking garage. We were allowed to keep our car until the evening of the checkout date. It was very helpful! Our room seemed updated recently, and it was very clean.

Although the hotel provides a restaurant and Starbucks is in the building, the surrounding area is mainly for the Federal workers. So, most of restaurants are only open for weekday/business hours, and it's hard to find anywhere open especially on weekends and holidays.
