Staff was incredible, valet was amazing. Every time we headed out for a short walk they would ask if we had something to do or if we needed some ideas. One even asked why we were there (oddly no staff at the desk did) when we told him it was our 27th anniversary he spoke to a staff member and brought a small bottle of champagne and two glasses for us. Very nice touch.

Website and front desk both stated breakfast was a buffet. When we arrived it was a menu and very awkward. The waiter came over and said if there is something on the menu you want, take a seat. Also when you are charged a resort fee to free water bottles in room and coffee, we thought coffee would be all day not ending at 11am.

This is a very nice hotel on Congress in Austin. It does the basics to a high standard – friendly and professional staff, efficient check in, fast and functional elevators, clean and welcoming lobby and other areas, and calm and quiet environment in the hotel at night. Our room was very large, with a living room area including sofa and another comfortable chair, and an adjoining bedroom. The bathroom was also spacious. We had a great view of the Capitol building from the living room area! We stayed here during SXSW music festival and the hotel could not be better located for the venues on Red River – close enough to walk in a few minutes, but far enough away to be quiet for sleeping. Would stay again next time.

When visiting Austin, this hotel has become our preferred choice. The combination of price and location offers unbeatable value. There are numerous excellent dining options just around the corner and even on-site. One aspect we particularly appreciate is that they allow dogs, as we brought along our beloved furry friend. Despite its proximity to the vibrant nightlife, the hotel manages to strike a perfect balance, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, and the overall space is clean and well-maintained.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful, although I believe they could benefit from hiring additional assistance. We encountered a delay when requesting our sofa bed to be made for our children, as it took approximately 2.5 hours. After numerous phone calls, it was eventually a receptionist who came to attend to it. He explained that the regular staff member responsible for this task was unavailable due to illness and had left for the day. Considering the size of the hotel, it would be advantageous to have more than one staff member assigned to handle such matters. While this inconvenience occurred, it is not significant enough to deter me from returning to the hotel.

Very clean, great location, pool and Jacuzzi nice and clean and everything works. Comfortable bed. I was treated very politely with wonderful customer service. The valet option is awesome since you have to pay for parking.

The $57.00 per night was expensive but you have to pay that at any Downtown Hotel anyway . You can find a parking lot several blocks down 20.00 cheaper and the vehicle is not protected and you don't get Valet when you need your vehicle. Choose your battle ! The refrigerator does not cool off enough . Your food will spoil. A water bottle stays at room temperature.

A great location close to the Texas State Capitol and also to the very vibrant 6th Street. Our suite was most comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff at Reception and the Porters were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We were offered an upgrade to a suite, which we accepted. The quoted price excluded taxes, but when we were presented with our account, the total cost, including the taxes was almost double the quoted cost of the upgrade.I think that more transparency in pricing these optional upgrades in a way that allows customers to understand the actual final cost would provee to be a more genuine approach onthe part of the Sonesta group. This unexpected cost put a little bit of a damper on what was otherwise a most pleasant stay.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very spacious. The couch was nice and the room was cool. The gym was the best hotel gym I've ever seen; so many choices, even a Peloton bike. You couldn't beat the location, it was absolutely the best, walking distance to so many attractions.

The pool area was so strongly chlorinated I could barely breath so was unable to use the pool and spa. The bathroom seemed a little rundown and would prefer to have the sink outside of the bathroom. We paid more than $200/night and was just expecting a little more of a luxurious hotel for the price. We had a high floor room, but the windows were dirty/old so you couldn't see out very well.

Elevator was very quick. The trip didn’t permit us to spend much time in the room, or hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Valet staff were friendly and efficient. Kudos as they worked well in rapidly changing weather conditions.

Location of the room. We got the third floor (no view, though ingeniously filtered light) and next to the elevator. Bells, though soft, dinged at all hours. Shower door didn’t close all the way. We had one very small tube of moisturizer provided! There was no “on” switch for the ac fan to drown out noises and to provide even temperature in the room.

The hotel was elegant and very clean. My room was beautiful and comfortable. I especially like how the hotel was located close to the middle of Downtown. It made travel much easier.

The card system was a little wonky. Sometimes I couldn’t access my room even though it was lighting green. I also had some problems getting wireless up, but I was able to troubleshoot it.

The property was beautiful and very clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable too!

I would just like to give a word of advice. The lack of friendliness from the staff working the checkin desk is sad. Smile people! Greet people and welcome them in! The valet guys were awesome though, and maybe your inside staff should take some pointers from them. They were always friendly and had a smile on!

Came to town for a weekend trip. The location was great and all of the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly.

Only thing I didn’t like (and it may have been room specific, we were in a corner king) was lack of accessible outlets to charge our phones. they had a little charging station but only one side of the bed, and half the light switches didn’t work. but other than that, we loved our room.
