Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square

Very nice to have it so close to the Ohio Theater, a parking garage was attached to it, the beds were pretty comfortable (more on the stiff side, my preferred firmness) and the staff was pretty nice and tried to help when I asked for it.

The room I was in was a little on the warm side, it eventually cooled down to a more reasonable temperature so I didn't complain about it. Not all the rooms have the amenities, our room didn't have a microwave or a refrigerator or a bath tub while the room our friends stayed in did. Not that big of a deal since we were only there for one night, but just a little strange that not all the rooms are the same. But maybe that's how all hotels are. The staff ended up having someone bring up a mini fridge for us, which was nice. Nothing major to complain about, just nit-picky things.

The room and bathroom were both large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Expected amenities were provided. We stayed for 2 nights and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was within easy walking distance to restaurants and the German Village (which we enjoyed visiting).

Really, everything was fine so nothing negative to report.

The aircondition of our room wasn’t working properly the last day of our stay and it was really hot in August. The technician tried to fix it but without success, so they suggested to change room but we refused because it was our last day. Finally, they brought us a fan to pass the night.

The room was large, clean, odor free, and the temperature was just right. The bed was very comfortable, and the view was great.

The room adjacent to mine was occupied by several people who were making a lot of noise, which began at around 2:30 in the morning. I had only been asleep for approximately 45 minutes, and could not fall back to sleep for an hour or so.. This is no fault of the hotel, but I am curious to know why I was put in a room right next to another occupied room when there were seemingly plenty of other unoccupied rooms available.

Good location, within walking distance of Grant Hospital. Very comfortable bedding, bath. Quiet even during daytime. The garage (see rate below) appears very secure with an elevator takes you to inside where you can enter lobby area without going out on street.

Returning late from hospital, disappointed no mini fridge or microwave in room for drinks, snack or light meal. However there was a microwave off lobby. Many other food options are eliminated for time being. Staff did supply list of Doordash options. Also, parking is extra, $17 if you park and leave it overnight. When weather is nice and you can walk to Grant hospital or to High St for shops. Hourly parking/coming and going could get expensive.

There was plenty of restaurants/ bars within walking distance so we didn’t have to catch an Uber since we were out drinking. Only stayed one night but considering it was booked last minute, I think it was a good value for the location being downtown. My lady even lost a shoe outside of the hotel and a patron picked it up and gave it to lost & found at the front counter! That made our night and gave us more hope for humanity.

Main elevators were down when we got there so we had to wait for a staff member to take us up to our floor, but only a minor inconvenience since they were pretty attentive. They got it fixed within a few hours. Also had to use a parking garage for parking ($17 for 12-24 hours parking) but was less than a 5 minute walk.

The location was perfect! Right in the middle of downtown! We thought the room was very clean and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The view was great too! We also loved that you could get netflix on the tv!

The A/C seemed to not be working its best, and the drinks at the hotel bar were far more expensive than we expected.

The security was fabulous. a homeless man was following me and security took care of it fast. it was a scary situation and they made me feel safe. right next to the state building where I had a meeting. The desk made a mistake checking me in and gave me a free breakfast.

No offered breakfast. it isn’t a big deal.

good location, Starbucks on site. Rooms had nice furniture and the store down in the lobby was convenient. staff was super friendly.

AC wasn’t working and had to be fixed twice and there was mold on the air vent.

great view right next to everything we could need and friendly staff. nice and clean as well.

way too expensive. hidden fee when I got there. it said on here it was going to be $350 but was almost $420 no free parking had to spend an extra $40 to park for the weekend
