Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Downtown, Ohio

Location was excellent for our conference. Hotel was easy to get to. My first experience with valet parking might have made it a life-long necessity 😀. The staff was fantastic, pool was different and hot breakfasts were so appreciated. Loved the pull out bins! We used them for snack bins vs keeping grocery bags laying around. Perfect little mini pantry.

Water & coffee was only 24/7 in lobby as far as I know. We were on 2nd floor so not a huge deal (and yes we had coffee pot in room but I can't handle the smell. This was for roommates) Seriously, this was my only complaint other than beds being too hard and I know that's a personal preference.

The front desk staff are wonderful. The free breakfast is pretty decent. The room was nice size and the bed was comfy.

We wanted 2 queens but that wasn’t an option on any of the booking sites. Shower was incredibly narrow and the the toilet was very low to the ground. Bathrooms could use some serious remodeling. TV had broken pixels and a line going through the whole picture. Swimming pool had a nasty dirty scum line. The elevators didn’t work very well. One didn’t operate at all, one stopped at every floor regardless if the button had been pressed, and the other had very slow moving doors. Seems like they are in need of repairs. The 7th floor public areas were very hot, the trash was not emptied for days in the hallway and there was the same trash on the floor by the elevators for 2 days, so they smelled bad too.

Great location: We never waited more than a minute for an Uber or Lyft. Within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops and the convention center. Cleanliness: The lobby, free breakfast area, and our room felt and looked clean. Never used the pool or fitness center (just didn’t have time this trip) but they looked clean too. Continental Breakfast: Wish it was open a bit later (like until 11am) but having that option during our stay was super convenient. The food itself wasn’t bad either! Staff: All the staff we interacted with were very kind and helpful. Shoutout to Clifford, they were the kindest human being I think I’ll ever meet.

The staff were excellent. They were all polite and really made sure we had everything we needed.

There was no hotel parking. There was only valet parking. The valet Parker’s were rude. When we got there and was coming down the street a driver pulled out from the curb and almost ran into us. Then he proceeded to cuss us out saying it was are fault. We ended parking in another parking garage a block away because of that.

The convenience and location! I was traveling with three young kids by myself, and I loved how close it was to the convention center without being connected. So easy with kids.

I didn’t like the cost of valet parking. We already paid a good amount for the hotel stay, and then an additional $35 for parking seemed to be a little steep. Although everyone was extremely nice.

The staff is wonderful as always. We adore Clifford the other folks working the desk. The valets on the weekend were super responsive and nice. The housecleaning folks that we got towels from were great! North Market is right next door and so is Goodall park and the convention center. And the shower in our room was new and had great water pressure! The beds are comfy with many pillows, and there is a fridge in the room too.

The street noise is so loud because the hotel is situated on a corner. There are people who like to drive up and down North High Street with no mufflers at 12 am. Luckily, the hotel staff had ear plugs at the front desk, but I wish they just went ahead and put them in the room. Also, the air conditioners are old, so they are very loud too. (I've stayed here a few times, and they’ve been loud in every room.) Hopefully, they will be replacing them soon.

We stayed in Hampton Inn to attend a conference. Location was great, close to the conference venue and the short north arts district with lots of nice restaurants and bars. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were quick to respond. The room and amenities were good including an ironing board and iron. I haven't used it, but my coworker mentioned the fitness center was decent and is a nice addition!

Breakfast was good every day. Staff was friendly. Great location. Easy Uber in and out. Nice places to visit and eat nearby. All in all, a great stay

I had no complaints.

There was hot breakfast - egg, meat, potatoes, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, etc or cold cereal. Coffee needs improvement but I’m a coffee snob. The location was great. Hotel was very clean and well maintained.

Not a fan of the cool white lights in the room. No microwave in the room. Someone else’s hair on my top sheet, under the comforter/bedspread. I’m hoping it was just because of static from the dryer.

The Staff that texted prior to our stay was wonderful- also very accommodating to the earlier check in because we started volleyball at 2. The man at the front desk is awesome. Missed his name.
