SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Roanoke Rapids I-95

Clean. No nasty carpet, wood floors. Great water pressure and heat. Clean towels, clean sheets. Comfortable bed. Right across the street from the police station so very very safe. Quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

AC didn't work well. Breakfast was ho hum: cereal coffee, juice, yogurt, bowl of apples, packets of oatmeal. Toast/bread/pastry box had a fly inside so I let it out but couldn't bring myself to eat anything in there. Round sausage with perfectly round yellow egg-like discs that did not even resemble actual eggs nor taste like eggs. Adding more fruit other than just apples (bananas, oranges?) and a waffle maker would be good. Maybe some croissants and cream? Big 1/2" gap under entry door so we could hear all hallway noise.

clean! clean! updated and comfortable. close to the 95 on our way to Myrtle Beach. close to Starbucks. quiet. pet friendly even though we didn’t bring pets. the reason I mention that is we have pets and may use them in the future for ours. Also, even though the hotel is pet friendly, our room did NOT smell like someone else’s dog. unlike a few others we have used. The only complaint I can think of is they had Fox News in at the breakfast area. Fox isn’t news. Its garbage. otherwise the place was great!

My room was acceptably clean. breakfast was very good. I will be staying there again, i can promise you that. I will recommend others to stay there. I best thing is that the evening and the day associate was to very, very helpful. another good thing is that it sits off the major highway I-95. Easy access on and off for people that are going north or south. All in all it was great. Thank you for all the staff there at Sure Stay.

I can't say everything was great.

My family and I stayed in July and came back again in October. I paid online and my check in was less than 5 minutes. They're renovating the rooms and ours looked like it had a new floor. It looked and smelled clean, both bathroom and sleeping area. I would definently stay again.

The front desk didn't give directions to find the room or tell me when breakfast was. That should be a standard thing she should tell people upon check in, however I was not afraid to ask and she was polite when telling me. That's a very minor thing.

The air quality was low, the air that was coming out was very stale. I had that, I need some fresh air feeling when we woke up. Also there weren't any grab and go items for breakfast, we left early and it would have been nice to grab something to eat a bit later. Apple, banana..packaged item

Conveniently located off I-95 and a reasonable rate for a quick place to stay while traveling. First impressions of the hotel very welcoming and well maintained.

Continental breakfast was lacking. Coffee not ready in the morning even though there did not appear to be many quests in the area. Actually had to go the the front desk to ask for breakfast dining area to be replenished so there was coffee, condiments and breakfast food available to eat. Breakfast options were very limited. Did not witness the food area and dining tables being sanitized after other quests left during the time I was in the area. It is sad but I feel that this hotel may have been short staffed due to COVID-19's lingering staffing issues that so many in the country are continuing to experience. Not many other dining options available on the exit that the hotel was located.

Close to interstate, affordable, friendly staff, comfortable beds.

No AC in the lobby or breakfast area. There was an overwhelming chemical floral smell in the elevator. Very small pool. It's an older hotel so needs a bit of cleaning.

Breakfast was similar to that found in other motels I have recently stayed in.

Because we requested a handicapped it only provided 1 bed. So that did not provide a comfortable night sleep. The handicapped person required the freedom to move to adjust comfort during the night especially after traveling for a dignify trip distance during the day. The companion also had limited space to sleep comfortably. The handicap accommodation for bathing was better then other motels.

We were travelling from NJ to HHI SC and decided to leave the night before and overnight it half way on the trip down. After looking at almost every hotel review along the 95 corridor starting in Norfolk VA, I opted for this place. It had considerably better reviews than just about every other place on 95. And it turned out to be a good choice. Check-in was easy, woman was very nice. Check-out was easy too, drop keys in the basket and you're done. I have the nose of a bloodhound and was expecting something funky to ruin my night. That never happened. Room smelled clean, and appeared clean. Bathroom is small, tight to manuever between the door and the toilet. Hole around the shower head, a few other cosmetic issues but nothing major. DH did notice some garbage (paper plate, water bottle) behind the wall unit. Light could be seen thru the door outline, meaning there is a pretty large gap around the door, which would be an issue for creepy crawlies, if there were any present. We had 3 adults, as stated on the initial reservation, but only had enough towels for 2. A walk to the lobby is all it took to get another. We were on the 1st floor and near the vending and ice machines. There are signs stating not to fill coolers, but one man was whining about how he couldn't put his large cooler up to get ice, smh. All in all, it's close to the highway and CLEAN.

Pool closed. Breakfast was pretty bare, only saw packaged items, and not appetizing. DH grabbed a few pre-packaged muffins earlier, but by the time we were checkjng out at 9am, nothing appealing was left. Had juice, which tasted horrible. Luckily there ate a few fast food places a few miles down the road, Dunkin and Wendys. We opted for Dunkin, which was drive thru only, due to Covid-19. No plant based items sadly.

The room was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Upgraded our room because a baby shower was held near our original room assignment.

I booked online and tried to call later to make sure everything was good with the reservation. 1st call I was put on hold for so long that I finally hung up. Called 2 or 3 more times and no one every picked up. Everything was good when we got there, but I was a little uncomfortable about the booking before we got there.
