The location was excellent for us as we wanted to catch the ferry to Brooklyn and walk back over the bridge. It's a different side to Manhatten which I think people are missing when they come to NY. A short walk to catch the ferry to the statue of liberty and the metro.

We were on the 29th floor which was great and lovely views but the top of our window would not close properly in the mechanism which resulted in wind noise and construction noise. The coffee machine did not work either. A big NO NO for us is the hotel would not phone for a yellow cab to take us back to JFK but said they could get a private one at more cost. In NY the taxis have a flat rate to and from the airport and not at $100+

This hotel is in the financial district, opposite the Statten Island Ferry Terminal, and Battery Park. It is only a short walk to the subway stations, and many tourist attractions. It is quiet on the weekends, and many shops and eating places are closed after 5 and on weekends. The hotel was comfortable, the beds were great, and the cleaning staff and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We felt this location was good for us, as we don't enjoy a lot of noise and we don't stay out late at night. There is a guest laundry, which was a nice surprise.

The breakfast buffet is not worth the effort or the expense. We were very disappointed, especially after experiencing European breakfast buffets. We could have chosen a breakfast off the menu, but we were short on time, and there was only 1 person trying to take orders and serve, and we faced too long a wait. There is a Dunkin Donuts, a Subway and a great cafe (The Black Fox) within a short walk from the Hotel.

The hotel compensated us for the breakfast, which was great. The view of the water was great. The staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Breakfast should definitely be included as most hotels that we use. Also, the style of the bathroom door was awful. It was a sliding barn type door that was not secure and cumbersome to get closed for privacy. There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the lighting was not good for women applying makeup, etc and the shower temperature plate was loose and did not stay in place so we could determine what was hot or cold. Shower head could definitely be upgraded. The ice machine was not working. Lastly, the room was smaller than expected.

Komfortable bed, quite spacious room, I liked that we had ironing facilities in the room. Quite reachable with subways, location is 10min from the Wall Street.

The first day the cleaning lady could arrive to our room only after 17:30 when we already returned to the room after a tiring day, so I did not ask the cleaning, only to empty the trash. The second day not even the trash was emptied, nor any cleaning was done. I missed to have 1-2 glasses in the room.

It's in a great location near offices and buildings, across the street from SI Ferry and MTA stations (Whitehall and South Ferry), making it easy to access the city. They also made our bed even though we were staying 2 nights! Great coffee is around the corner, too. Nice views of the bay.

The cost was high. Construction in front of the hotel limited access to ride-share pickup and drop-off.

The room was amazing. Great view of the bay despite there being a big building Infront. Very clean, comfortable beds, great bathrooms, smooth check-in.

The breakfast. Although it was a free add-on, It was the worst breakfast I ever had. The things I ordered took years to come, it was really cramped, the milk was placed in 2 small bottles and was finished and I had to ask one of two staff to refill it. The coffee was missing, again had to request someone to get it, and it took like 15 mins to come. The juice was to be ordered, but there were just 2 people running around, managing all the guests hence I didn't even bother. Was so annoying on the 2 days that I didn't even go to a free breakfast. That's quite amazing for a person who is as cheap as me😂

The front desk staff were fabulous! Especially Shantelle and Victor ( great directions from JFK!)and the other gentleman) and women who were welcoming and friendly and helpful always!

Mark made it right, but we did have to ask 3x in one day to have room cleaned/made up.

Location is great! View is great. Restaurants nearby and access to subway and ferry. Lower Manhattan tourist spots and it’s quiet at night. Comfortable bed and pillows. Reception staff nice.

Our room was extremely small. I’m an awkward corner near loud elevator. Broken shower door so water running all over bathroom floor. We just soaked up with towels. They did bring me more towels and took the soaked ones away. Also, ugly carpet stains. We must have had a bad room, seems other rooms may be better. Chef was rude and barking at staff (which was only 2 ppl, one who had zero experience, terribly short staffed). Our order was messed up, but I didn’t want to send it back due to time and fear the chef would yell at our kind waitress. The other staff member was just trying to help, but had no idea what he was doing. Agree with others, that deposit of $50 unnecessary. Seems hidden fees, etc. Maybe that’s this Booking site and not Hilton directly. Read fine print.

It was close to the subway I needed and the surprise for me was its proximity to the Staten Island Ferry terminal and Battery Park. I was delighted to discover I was also around the corner for Fraunces Tavern, which has been at that location since 1702. I don’t often get to step back so far in time in Manhattan, so that was fun!

The Hilton Garden Inn chain provides above average comfort and safety and cleanliness. It is not a luxury chain. That’s not really a complaint. I had everything I needed.

We got there earlier and room was not avaliable but we have been upgraded with no extra charge room was clean, bad was comfortable, location as expected
