Lake Placid Inn: Residences

Super nice area. Quiet. Right near some stores so that’s convenient

The wifi was down and the TVs were broken. When calling to just inform staff of the issues, the receptionist was slightly rude and the hotel wasn’t willing to fix either problem or give a discount rate due to false advertisement of amenities on the property. Also i booked this property with the “pay on arrival” and they charged my card prior to me arriving at my stay. I was there for just a night but hopefully to those that stay longer, get a better attitude from staff. Also the price was kinda outrageous.

Accommodation is of a high standard with virtually everything you need for a stay in Lake Placid. High standard of cleanliness throughout and a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook yourself. Visit was to experience the fall colours, which were exceptional in 2022. Trip was made first two weeks October.

I was overcharged by the property on departure despite twice visiting the main hotel to resolve the final payment. This has been resolved but should not have happened in the first place. Something to watch if you are staying in the Residences.

Beautiful, spacious house. Good location, 5 minutes drive from Main Street and 20 from Whiteface. Modern design, comfortable beds.

You need to pick up keys at their other location. Not a big deal but just a bit of added time. Kitchen stocked with pots and dishes but would have been nice if it had things line aluminum foil and simple condiments like olive oil.

Location great; minimal traffic noise. Loved the clean rustic decor. Cold A/C, 2 very nice TVs, and loved the fire pit by the stream (and that firewood was supplied).

Recently had a hip replacement and didn't realize I had to climb a flight of stairs :( Was charged a $80.00 cleaning fee for 3 days. This was an automatic charge added to my bill . I questioned about it and staff told me it was for them to clean my unit after we departed (for the next incoming guests;)- it did not cover daily housekeeping (that was extra!!) First time ever I paid a cleaning charge when I left (And my unit was left almost spotless and staff member said it didn't matter).

The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. The location is less than 5 minutes from downtown LP and it’s nice having all the extra space!

Our bathroom sink wasn’t working properly when we got there but the maintenance manager Gary came over right away to remedy the situation.

Property is beautiful, unit was great and most of all chuck was extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. He is an excellent worker and a great person towards us as customers! He deserves a raise!!!

Nothing, it was fantastic!

Up to date, clean and comfortable space with lots of extras we didn't expect (fire pit by the water!). Full size kitchen and fridge great for families or those dealing with food allergies or really anyone - eating out in Lake Placid is pricey!

Only issue was the wifi was unreliable. When my husband needed to do some work he had to go into town to get online.

Loved the room we stayed in, it beyond met our expectations. It was super clean, looked just like the pictures, and having the kitchen was a huge bonus for us. It was also very close to town, which was also a plus.

While the bathroom and shower were very nice water got everywhere, I know there are multiple drains but it just completely soaked the floor so a little ledge or something to keep the water in the shower area and prevent the water from going all over the floor would’ve been nice.

Everything. Even absence of internet in the room made us survive (lol) and learn that sometimes some things can be put away for some time and we enjoyed the stay without it, communicated more and bond.

Internet didn’t reach to our room so we had to come out to connect and sit outside while having internet
