This hotel looks like nothing fancy on the outside but was reasonably clean and comfortable in the room. The bed was soft and supportive, the staff was friendly. I felt safe traveling there alone. Overall a good solid choice for the price. On the main road between east grand forks and Grand Forks ND, accessible to airport and UND campus.

There are not a lot of choices in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, but all are preferable to choices in Grand Forks, North Dakota. What I found at East Grand Inn was exceptionally kind and helpful staff, a fully appointed and clean room at an extremely affordable price. I got the deep sleep I needed to continue my trip.
The luggage cart was difficult to roll over the side door entrance gangway because of the condition of the concrete.

Breakfast is typical bagels/toast/cereal. Coffee was surprisingly good. The lobby is softly lit and I didn't feel assaulted by bright lights.
Location is a little weird and (not the hotel's fault) Maps had us come in through the back. It's on the same frontage road as Fairfield!
