Staybridge Suites - Iowa City - Coralville, an IHG Hotel

Loved the proximity to the Extreme Center as we were in town for a camp hosted there. The hotel is literally attached to The Extreme Center via a hallway and some double doors. There is also a conference room (which was empty while we were there) with a large window overlooking the Extreme Center facilities. It allowed me to check in on our child while not actually leaving the hotel. They also have a great laundry room that is complimentary, aside from the cost of laundry detergent. The gym is well equipped and they even provide towels and water . Trader Joes is in the same shopping center and walking distance. This was very convenient for light grocery shopping and snacks to able to prepare meals. This hotel even provides breakfast with lots of choices every morning and good coffee. We will definitely be back next summer!

Convenience to the Extreme Center, amenities including laundry, fitness center, pool and complimentary breakfast! Location within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

The staff was wonderful to interact with and were quick to help with any needs. The location is close by to many restaurants and a local grocery store so it's great to have options to eat out or pick up something quick and cook in the room.

It's difficult to find something I didn't like but probably in the evening when the sun was shining through our room windows it did warm the room up a bit despite having the AC on high. The only other problem was nothing at fault from the location but someone had triggered the fire alarm twice during the weekend.

The room was nicely appointed and had everything arranged and available for a short or long stay. Having 2 elevators next to each other, meant never having long to wait. While we did not use it, the exercise room was exceptional for a hotel.

No hot tub.

Yes, the breakfast was good, hot, and plenty of choices. The area was very clean and accessible and the dining location was excellent. Parking was excellent. I liked the security of the lot. I also like the shopping and dining area that was within walking distance from hotel.

Nothing really.

This is a nice hotel ... very large and in a busy concert venue area. Parking is across the street, no towing if you provide your license plate to the hotel (parking is in a city lot.) We had some noisy neighbors ... this hotel would be appropriate for business travelers, etc. There was one restaurant near by ... which we walked to. It had patio and inside dining. This is definitely an area for a young crowd. Leaving in the morning we hit some commuter traffic.

Location is close to the highway. Breakfast was decent. Got to get up early if you want the hot food, otherwise look forward to some cereal. They do not refill if it's one hour before breakfast is over. At least that's what I witnessed.

Dogs should be put on a certain floor. Didn't appreciate being woken up at 6:00 a.m. by a barking dog in the hallway. Owners apparently didn't care either.

Overall the cleanliness of the building and room was great. Friendly staff, great selection for breakfast.

The parking was a little crazy. Nice there is a lot to park in once checked in. Overall a busy area and walking should be expected.

Nice compact suite with everything you might need. Long walk down the hall, but good exercise. Bed was wonderful'

The only drawback was the view looked out over a large flat roof, but...

It very maintained and clean the beds are so comfortable. The employees are all very helpful and nice.

Nothing really but the thermostats are always blowing out cold air as if they are set that way even when you set them high on the heat setting.

Breakfast was OK, not great. The comfort of the room and the bed exceeded my expectations.

The price was a little higher than I was hoping to pay for the middle of Iowa.
