Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cedar Rapids I-380 at 33rd Avenue, an IHG Hotel

Nice place overall; met our needs for the weekend. The king size room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. It had a mini gym that we utilized; it worked for us. The location was convenient, right off the freeway and in walking distance to several restaurants.

The view wasn't amazing; it was of what seemed like storage garages. The last day we were there, the power went out. It would've been good to get communications about it and know what to expect as a result.

Clean room nice hotel in a good location alot of different amenities around the area.

That when I originally booked the room a month ago it was at 130 and some change total. But when it was charged to my card after the stay it ended up being more. They didn't use the discount offer from booking. Com they charged full original price. On booking. Com when it was reserved the price was 106$ 130 after taxes and fees. Is what was said to be charged then after the stay and card was charged it came out to 160. It's only 30$ difference but still 30$ is 30$ if I would of only had what it was supposed to be on the card. I would of been charged a hefty fee of overdrafting my account. But other than that a good experience.

The location was great for the destinations we attended during our visit. The pillows were very comfortable.

The button to call for the elevator on the 3rd floor was broken sometime after we checked in. When we wanted to go to breakfast on Saturday, we walked the 3 flights of stairs down. I was disappointed that the little cinnamon rolls were not served on Saturday morning. We could use the elevator to go up to our room on 3rd. The water pressure in the sink was very low, but the shower pressure was good. There were only a lounge chair and a desk chair for seating, so I sat on the bed to read. Sunday morning I went down to 2nd floor to call for the elevator and took it to 3rd where my husband was waiting with our luggage.

Breakfast was simple but good. Everything was pretty clean and the room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom was huge! Employees were super helpful. We hit a couple small issues but the front desk people were great and accommodating.

The pool was okay except it looked slightly greenish and looks like it could use an update. The floor was super slippery when it got wet in there even when just trying to walk. Hot tub definitely ends a remodel. Also could here everything the people above were doing and saying. It sounded like a herd of elephants were above us.

It was quiet, clean, friendly

We were unable to check in when we arrived because the staff member at the front desk was locked out of her computer. It took over an hour for management to contact her back to fix the problem. We waited almost a hour an half before we could check in. Other then that our stay was great.

Awesome Breakfast! Staff was very kind! Loved that everything was very convenient to get to outside of the hotel as well.

The only thing that could have changed was nothing that really bothered me because my kids had wanted to bring their sleeping bags but they could have had a sheet already in the room for the pull out couch. It had a cottony mattress protector on it already and there was a backup pillow and pillowcase in the bag in the closet but no sheet for it. Again not a huge deal for us especially since everything else was outstanding for our stay. Still would give them a 10 out of 10

Good location near food options and gas stations. Room was spacious and it was nice having a kitchenette area. Might have had quiet neighbors, but I didn't hear anyone through the walls. This was a stop on a cross-country drive with a U-Haul truck and I felt safe leaving the truck parked in the hotel lot overnight.

Felt the front desk could have used more than one employee. The guy was a champ, checking people in and answering the phone, but it seemed understaffed and I was anxious to get checked in and relax after driving.

Clean, quiet, breakfast was simple & easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall great stay.

The pool was closed, and we were not aware. I looked back on the website, and it took me forever to find where they had it written. A little sneaky, if you ask me. We would have gone somewhere else if we had known. Also, no coffee except in your room. Felt bad that we had to keep asking for things that normally would be out. I understand it's because of covid, but don't at the same time. Buffets are open...same idea...

The breakfast was terrific. The pool hours great as I was there with 2 grandsons. The room was mostly clean

There was a lot of litter in the hallway and wasn't clean. I know it was due to. Other guest but, it was left that way as if short on staff.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our compliments to the lady who took care of the breakfast area, ensuring there was enough food and cleaning tables. She was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good--a nice variety of good foods to choose from. Location of hotel was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable.
