Showers Inn

The great experience started with Linda (?) at check in, who made me feel so welcome and showed me around the property, including the amazing photos with the history of the inn and the original family behind it. My room was charming and spacious and the original bathroom was very cool. Be sure to check out the floors and ceilings, as they are impressive. But more importantly, I was made to feel at home and very welcome. Best b and b in town. I'll be back!

The property was outstanding and beautiful! The morning breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the slow pace of the inn. The only complaint we had was the the squeaking floor above us. The person(s) that occupied the room above ours walked a lot in the night. The house is OLD and the floors are creaky so we could hear that sound in the night which was a little bothersome. However that is not enough to keep us from coming back! Maybe get the second floor next time lol! EVERYTHING else was superb! We loved it!

The room was amazing! Huge, quiet and comfortable. The decor was on-point with the era of the building. the bed was comfy and we liked the tv set up. The host or check-in person was welcoming and the garden and parking area were lovely.

Breakfast was not great -- service was very slow and amateur, I ordered the french toast and it appeared to be one slice of Wonder bread.

We loved this bed and breakfast. The front desk attendant was great and helped us with all of our needs and any questions we had, even helped bring our take out meal to our room door. The look and feel of this location was excellent. Definitely felt like staying in a comfy home more than a hotel room which is what we were looking for. Overall happy to have stayed and will be back next time we’re in town for sure.

The website was a little confusing and made it seem like there would be a hot tub or jacuzzi outdoors but instead was jacuzzi bubbles on a bath tub. Also like another reviewer mentioned there are tons of college kids in this area (which is to be expected, of course) so our first night we did encounter several people yelling pretty loudly outside of the house we stayed in and continued to hear it throughout the middle of the night. It’s not showers inn fault nor can they do much about it but it was one of the only negative things about our stay minus the tub situation.

The Showers Inn is central to IU and downtown, walking distance to most everything. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with plenty of space. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are great. The chef and wait staff are friendly, helpful, and really good at what they do. The menu offers gourmet options, and if you prefer something simple, that's fine too. Prices for midweek stays are very very reasonable.

The room was beautiful and super comfy! The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was super friendly. Love the ambiance. Love the convenient parking lot and the room with the porch! Also love having a frig and microwave AND the Bluetooth hookup in the room.

The only thing that could’ve been better is the TV service. The selections were very strange and unfamiliar to us and just finding our basic channels to watch were difficult. I also miss the blueberry scones! And the orange juice at breakfast could be improved. Go with a fresher option.

Beautiful historic buildings, comfortable bed and free parking. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared. Great and helpful people. We will definitely be back when we are in Bloomington.

One thing I can think of that would be helpful is a kettle in the room.

Beautiful and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Room was specious and well maintained. We had a refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave. The service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. It’s a walking distance from campus and restaurants.

SHOWERS INN IS A HIDDEN GEM -- lovely ambience from the moment you step into this historic house. AND the staff goes above and beyond hospitality extraordinaire. The breakfast was something straight out of a cooking show -- artistically prepared, presented and DELICIOUS. ALL WAS A FAIRYTALE GET-AWAY! Highly recommend.

For me, the location was perfect. Parking was just a few steps away. My room suite was spacious and well decorated.

I found that the only way I could have watched streaming internet programs on the TV was to have entered my own personal password and accounts from home for access to: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, BritBox, YouTube, and Disney+
