I enjoyed the rustic charm of this hotel. Everything seemed to be "Moose" themed. There were moose lamps in the room, a picture of a deer, and a giant moose head on the main floor. I really loved the check in desk with the carved moose theme. It was a beautiful piece of furniture. The staff was friendly and helpful except none of the housekeepers spoke English. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nice and clean. I had a great view out the back of the hotel which was a long row of pine trees instead of a parking lot full of cars.

The only thing I didn't like was the bar charge as part of the check in. I don't drink and knew I wouldn't use it but thought maybe I might need a snack or something later. When I checked out there wasn't time to ask about the extra charge but I was notified by phone that the charges would be removed and I was satisfied with that.

we loved the entire experience, we hit a little snag checking in, but we quickly got it figured out, all of the staff members were so amazing, everyone was sooo nice, the room was excellent, the beds were super comfortable, the shower was ok, the water pressure wasnt that great, the pool and hot tub area was so cool to look at, I did not get in the pool but i did enjoy the hot tub for an hour, the sauna was cool, but it stunk inside so i didnt stay in there long, prices of pops in the fridge by check in are decently priced, the bar looked cool, didnt go in and sit, will definitely come back to this motel if we are ever in the area again (this motel is 8 hours from my home)

only thing that could make it a little better was better water pressure in the showers, but what we did have wasnt horrible either, only reason i say this is because i have thick hair more water pressure the better....LOL

The pool and the hot tub were great for our kids. There were several birthday parties and I think a bridal party so the hotel was packed however we heard minimal noise in our room despite all the people.

I went out to my car around 9 or 10 pm and there were tons of people in the bar/lobby drinking and eating. That in itself was not an issue. Early the next morning when we went downstairs for breakfast and everything was still a mess from the night before. The breakfast food was also pretty awful. Usually I sleep great in hotels but the beds here aren’t the most comfortable.

The hot tub & spa facilities were top notch (with a sauna!)!!! ~ It was like soaking in a hot spring in a grotto! Also, there were 2 pools (indoor & outdoor)!~ (They had a special designated adult swim time from 10-11pm.) Decor was wonderful, quaint & cozy. Everything was spotless... They even went to inspect the room to make sure it was ready since it wasn't checked off in their computer system. Location was central along a strip & near anything you might ever need. Area seemed safe & the place seemed kid + pet friendly. The breakfast was delicious with a variety each day that kept you full & satisfied to go out exploring the Quincy & Hannibal areas!

TOWELS!!!!... Only 1 large towel provided for 2 people & had to ask for more (& they said they could only find 1 that was clean). NO TOWEL RACKS (just 1 tiny hook behind the door & 1 small dowell for face towels) so we had to hang bathing suits from the fire-sprinkler & shower head... towels hang off the shower curtain rod but have to be moved if another person uses the shower... No bath-mat provided so we had to use a towel we got from the pool for that (not enough there either, especially by the late night). + Adult swim time needs to be a bit longer (2 hrs).

As always the property was ready for our stay, pool was clean and enjoyable for the kids and service was exceptional! The server Melissa went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, share local deals for pizza and beverages, and connect with our daughters. We left truly feeling like we made a new friend! We can’t wait to return in October!

The only slight in incident we had was that our card didn’t initially work for our room. This was quickly resolved and we had no other issues with our room.

Location was perfect - within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Rooms seem to be very quiet, you could slightly hear kiddos running around - to be expected - but never obnoxiously loud.

Could have been a little cleaner - chairs with ottomans are nice, but I put a towel on them before I sit on them, cause they seem dirty.

Perfect location for our travels. It was a nice, clean place to rest our heads.

The breakfast was not that great. The eggs tasted kinda funny, but we're from the south, so maybe that is why. The Canadian bacon or ham was tough. In less than an hour after opening, one container was empty, and the toaster didn't work.

The staff didn’t stay up hold with the breakfast we and other customers had to go and tell them what they were out of. That’s something I didn’t like because the hotel staff should always know and replace.

I had to let them know that our room had 1 wash cloth and 3 towels to get the proper need of my family.

We had a wonderful getaway with the children! The pool area was so relaxing - loved the music playing! The hot tub is huge and perfect temperature. The breakfast was tasty with different options each morning. We stayed in a bunk room on the first floor - clean, spacious, comfortable. Staff was all friendly and accommodating. We will return to Stoney Creek!

The pool entry door is a little hard to get in.

Property was inviting as soon as you drove into parking lot and the hotel was clean and orderly inside, very nice facility.

The only negative if you want to call it that was the lack of electrical or usb outlets available for use in the room and the receptacle cover on one of the outlets was broken, leaving the electrical box exposed.
