The hotel is great. You need to consider that this hotel is not the leisure kind of hotel with your normal amenities. It is even more upscale and more like to have a nice getaway in a fancy way. The location is great, and it is close to a bunch of things like the Oracle Stadium, the SF Museum of Art, etc. Walking around the hotel is nice, and if you appreciate architecture and sculptures and nice views, you will get those there. The decor is great as well, and the rooms were nicely designed. The staff was very nice and helpful. I travelled with my service dog, and they wave the pet fee because of that.

You have to consider the kind of hotel this is. The parking is $70 per night, and you don't have complimentary wi-fi that comes with an additional cost of almost $15. I don't remember for how long, though. That's why I mentioned it is not your typical leisure hotel. The other thing I didn't like was that the toiletries weren't complete in the bathroom and I had to ask for more. The housekeeping had to be scheduled, and even though I asked for it, they forgot to schedule it. There were no vending machines, and the store near the front desk just carried fancy waters and drinks, not sodas or anything like that, again it is not your typical leisure hotel. I found an empty bottle of Perrier water under the bed, so I assumed they didn't have enough time to fix everything in the room

The room was spacious and felt luxurious with a really comfy bed and I got a good deal from booking.com. It’s a 10 minute walk from museums, shops and the end of the cable car line

You can tell this property is struggling & trying to recoup costs - parking is an astronomical $75 plus tax per night, internet is $15 per day unless you’re a Marriott member, there is only a tiny cafe open for breakfast (& they charged me $10 for a savoury muffin!) There was also nothing in the minibar (not even bottled water)

The privacy sign on the door handle always falls on the floor when moving the door. The shower water pressure was very low. The hotel body wash is tiny, very thin, and barely cleans, and we also had to specifically ask to have more each day because one is only enough for one person to shower once, and the room service never refilled them.

Upscale spacious room. Nicely decorated. Great Nespresso coffee. Clean. Comfortable bed (in bedroom).

Sofa bed in living was too small and too uncomfortable to use. But the kids could comfortably sleep on the large sofa itself. Limited choice of food.

The hip decor and coffee shop were a plus. Plenty of places to work in the lobby and decent WiFi. Interesting fire pit tables in an interior courtyard for nightcaps and late night snacks and chatting. Very helpful staff and excellent security. Good location if you want to be away from the more touristy areas of SF but close to the MoMA.

Views are nothing special, but the amenities make up for it nicely. Parking for 80$ a day is sadly typical, but you can find it for half that on spothero app. Poor location if you want to be closer to nightlife and weekend activities. Most nearby restaurants cater to tech sector on M-F operations, closed weekends.

Hotel was lovely staff was great surrounding areas was amazing , china town walking distance, Pier 39 about a mile away literally in the middle of everything can't wait to go back.

Valet parking 75 a night super extreme. But there are two public parking I believe are $35 a night both one block to the left one block to the right of the hotel.

Comfy room, nice view, friendly staff. Good location.

Valet parking is absurdly expensive, but the $10 tax on top is just insulting. Don't buy snacks in the convenience store. It's like volunteering to be robbed.

I stayed at the Clancy for five nights and it was a very good stay. I didn’t have any problems when checking in (even though I checked in fairly late because of my delayed flight) and the staff was very nice and professional. I chose the Clancy because of the location and also the 24 hour front desk and security. I stayed with my sisters and we’re all girls so I really liked that there was security personnel that was able to escort us from our car back to the hotel (especially at night). We felt super safe which made our trip more enjoyable! My only gripe would be the $75 dollar a night hotel parking but I found a parking facility right next door that charged $25 for overnight parking (only bad thing was that I had to wake up super early to move my car because parking expired at 8 am). Other than that, I would stay here again!

Nothing! I live and work in NYC so I’m used to having to pay $35+ dollars on parking so this wasn’t a deal breaker.
